This is my Lowest day as a Laker fan... About on par with the day Chick died...can't believe it's been about 10 years since Chick passed.
Jerry Buss is a name I remember from my earliest memories, along with Magic, Chick, Kareem and Jerry West....
Over the years I grew to understand Jerry's significance as the owner of my favorite sports team.
What a run he had... 10 titles... Growing the franchise into a billion dollar enterprise... All while taking care of the people that mattered most... THE FANS... Us!
RIP Jerry ... You're in that luxury box in the sky and Chick is at the press row calling the game... |

The Lakers can keep on winning titles, but it just won't ever be the same without Doc. _________________ 1996-2016

Was off net for a day or so and came back to this sad news.
Thanks Doc for the good times and all the good stuff you did for LA in the day. You changed the culture there and brought a lot of people together. That being said, congratulations on an interesting life lived well. I think we all need to remember that life is short and this is not the dress rehearsal. Bravo Dr. Buss. |

I learned a lot about Dr. Buss today listening to the interviews.
I knew he was a great owner, but I didn't realize he was an even better man.
RIP Dr. Buss, you will be missed. |

Just want to send my condolences to the Buss family, and the greatest owner in sports history.
One could only dream to live the life he lived, and one can only hope Jimbo doesn't ruin what daddy built.
34 years, 16 finals (almost every other year in the finals), 10 chips
R.I.P. Jerry, you were the best ever |

This quote of Dr Buss: "Everybody can see the skillful players. But the question is, 'Are you willing to wait until you find a skillful player with high character?' Eventually, the character is what wins out on the court"
Laker basketball in a nutshell from the man who knew. Chick knew it, Dr Buss knew it. Gotta believe they passed that on. _________________ “There is always light if only we're brave enough to see it, if only we're brave enough to be it.” --Amanda Gorman |
