Did you know:
+Four of the last seven games
between these two teams have been decided by three points or less.
+This will be the 77th meeting between the two franchises with the
Lakers leading the all-time series 55-21.
+Current Pacers associate head coach Brian Shaw played four seasons with the Lakers
(1999-2003), helping the team to three consecutive NBA Championships (2000, 2001, 2002)
before winning 2 NBA Championships (2009, 2010) as a Lakers assistant coach over six
seasons on Phil Jackson’s coaching staff.
+Lakers assistant coach Chuck Person was drafted 4th overall by the Pacers in the 1986
NBA Draft, winning rookie of the year and ranking 10th on the Pacer’s all-time scoring list
with 9,096 points in six seasons with the team.

★Game Thought★
"Lakers (7-7) get their first home game after a 3 game road trip, which ended 1-2.
Welcoming them home are the Indiana Pacers (6-8), the second worst offensive team
(91.2 ppg), best rebounding (48.4 rpg) and 3rd best defensive (92.2 ppg) team in the NBA,
coming off a 104-97 home loss to the Spurs. Indiana has been playing good basketball so far,
winning 3 of their last five games, including a 103-83 blowout of the Mavs in Indiana. Paul
George has been hot lately, scoring 37 against the Hornets and 15 against the Spurs.
Lakers have been inconsistent on the road lately, but a homecoming could spark a good
performance, especially coming off a huge blowout in Dallas. Lakers have struggled lately
against young and energetic teams, unable to find ways to counter them. They did a great job
against Dallas, though the slow Indiana won't be much of a problem for them. Dwight Howard
and Pau Gasol will have their hands full against Roy Hibbert and David West, but should
ultimately outperform them. Kobe Bryant will most likely be covered by Paul George, meaning
that MWP will get a chance to abuse the smaller Lance Stephenson on the post, since Danny
Granger is out for a few months with a knee injury. George Hill should be a good cover for the
gritty Darius Morris, who gets another chance to show his improvement. Hill is no superstar,
but he's an above average point guard, so Morris will have to play really well. Indiana's bench
has been more about a few contributions from everybody, while LA will look for Rock n Roll AJ
to keep improving and provide another high level game off the bench. Jodie Meeks has been
hot lately, meaning that he's expected to knock down open 3s tonight. Chris Duhon will also
get some open looks, while Devin Ebanks will be called upon to play some minutes at the
backup SF and show that he deserves the backup role.
Ultimately, Lakers are too good and are coming off a hot game, while the Pacers aren't a
team to either run or play at a fast pace and expose their theoretical weakness. This is LA's
game to lose. Lakers by 15+."

Since I already got the thread format down, and with the help from KB24GoldenChild it only take me around 1 hour or less every time to gather the latest information to update the format. |

Nice work Lakers First, KB24GC!
Bipolar Laker team lately, but I think the dominant Lakers will show up and win this handily. |
