worried about the mins tomorrow though....

Yeah, the Big 4 all played north of 38 minutes...

Hopefully this gets reduced because what happened to Suns' first year with Nash that MD barely played bench players. I can see why they played more mins 'cause it was a very close game throughout and tonight is MD's first coaching night?

I think those minutes will reduce by 1-2 once Nash comes back. Kobe has to play those types of minutes with Nash out. I fully expect us to be able to give Kobe more rest in the future.

I do feel this was one of the more physical games we will play just because of how Brooklyn matched up with us with the big front court and the solid wing defenders.

Howard needs to practice shooting FT only.

(bleep) everything, only shooting FT.

Howard was laboring for quite a bit in this game. I hope that it has nothing to do with his back and strictly because of all the running.

More to do with the constant barrage of fouls he was getting. Brooklyn has a very deep front court and they used their whole allotment of fouls tonight.

What do you think the Brooklyn players think about hack-a-dwight? I can't imagine they like that strategy.

I cannot imagine the BKN players like that strategy. Back when they did the hack-a-shaq, I remember some players didn't like it, except in certains situations.

He needs to practice shooting FT BLINDFOLDED. If he does that just 100 shots a day, it would greatly increase his sense of "feel". That's one of the drills that I like to do when I am in a funk shooting.

Mike Trudell ‏@LakersReporter

Good sign for LAL to grind out a win on D in a game offensive rhythm wasn't coming easy, esp. w/all the fouling.

They were up by 5 when they started the Hack-a-Dwight.

The strategy stops the clock so helped the Lakers as long as he made 1 of the 2.

But it got old in the Shaq era, it is already old...D12 needs to practice his FTs.

Gotta admit that PnR combo is pretty damn effective. I absolutely loved the play with the Pau lob to Dwight. That is going to make defenses think twice about helping off of him when they run that PnR to the middle of the key.

Pau had 7 assists tonight.

D'Antoni speaks Spanish.....so does Kobe.

Just a thought... Pau seems to really respond to coach and is playing very well.

Gotta love your hate on Pau Gasol sometimes.

I didn't see Kobe's hockey assists from you for previous game, Just Ming.

Pau was talking about how his two man game using the pick n roll with Kobe helped him get the assists.

Just got done watching the game.
Watched the entire game on my dvr in one hour flat.
Fast forwarding through commercials, timeouts, halftime reports ext.

What a roller coaster ride of an hour.
Glad we survived the Hack a Dwight.

Great (bleep) Win!!!!!

DWill didn't look to happy when Dwight was talking to him after the game. He must really be upset with Dwight. I think it may be because he feels Dwight was the reason he signed with Brooklyn and Dwight backed out.

Great win. Personally i wanted this win so that howard could see he chose the right team. Man short, and new coach, and yet beat his former number one choice...
