Seriously. The only gem from the draft (the last 10 to 15 years) for the Lakers has been Bynum - the rest of the picks have been dreadful.

Marc Gasol aint half bad buddy. Farmar and Turiaf also made it in the league. Don't forget the Lakers usually pick very low in the draft.

I stand corrected. I forgot about him - my bad!

Any truth to the OC Register claim we're ready to sign Jamison?

I know - wrong thread... but this Summer League squad is making a strong statement that the free agent route is the direction we need to go.

DJO's shot hasn't been falling, but he has continue to make the right plays with nice passes and ball movement.

Morris played some terrible defense too much gambling for steals and getting burned badly. However, he had a couple of nice passes and drives to the basket

Scare - passable game.

Everyone Else - terrible.

This is where you see the downside of drafting for the triangle for a decade or so along with the success of having the triangle get you to the WC semi finals nearly every year with top notch talent. We simply haven't reloaded through the draft due to looking for such a specific skill set in a rapidly changing game and those you do draft coming in the last 20 picks in the draft. There is another reason - the luxury tax. If this didn't exist the Lakers would simply buy high draft picks and replenish the cupboards.

So far, through these 3 games, Robert Sacre looks like the only player who shows a hint of being a long-term NBA prospect.

If I could only take one player off this roster it would probably be Sacre.

If I could take any two players off this roster it would probably be DJO and Sacre.

If I could take any ten players off this roster it would probably be DJO and Sacre.

This squad sets an all-time record for pathetic.

No but Norris Cole and Dexter Pittman did.

I think Cole was like +35!

Game 1: 16-59 (27%)
Game 2: 26-85 (31%)
Game 3: 18-68 (26.5%)

They're averaging 16% from beyond the arc.

Tonight he powered down one rebound in only 32 minutes of play.

He's heading out way too far on P&R's, taking him too far away from the hoop. He needs to adjust.

I see they've primed themselves to match our playoff 3 point shooting.

How in the world did you manage to pull almost four minutes of highlights from that train wreck? You're an editing genius.

He's not that type of player. More like, he'd get 30-20.
