I wasn't. And the lock icon was not uncalled for. In fact I debated for an hour if I should make the thread or not. Seems like the last two losses have taken a toll on our morale. Lets get this kicked off right with some heavy hitters to dress this thread properly! |

Bynum better not shoot us out another game.
MB better get his (bleep) together, offense should be ran through pau.
This should be an easy win we need.

Thanks Bobby. It was 1 pm on a game day.......It's not a gameday without the thread.
Anyhow, I think the Lakers are going to come out swinging and blow out the bees. We have a huge 8 games after this. I we lay an egg tonight it's not a good sign for our playoff standings.
Lets Go Lakers!!!
Funny that the only time I ever start a Game thread my entire office gets laid off.....Heading home early to watch the game. Hope its a good one because I sure could use a pick me up today |

Sadly another tough game for us, even against the lowly Hornets. They've played us tough all year, and they'll be at home and Kobe will be out. We'll also still have tired legs from our brutal schedule. What's worse is that things don't get any easier and in fact get much harder from here on out. |

A slide to lottery would not surprise me at this point. The vultures are licking their chops over the draft picks we gave away.
And it's because our brilliant coach used his roster so well...
This team is running on fumes. |

I am very interested in the standings.
San Antoino has won 11 in a year and moved ahead of OKC by 1 game in the loss column. SA also owns the tiebreaker.
Given the choice, which option would you prefer?
A) Lakers hold onto the #3 seed and host HOU/DAL/DEN in the first round. In the second round, they go on the road to OKC.
-or-
B) Lakers fall to the #4 seed and host the dangerous Memphis Grizzlies in the first round. Their second round matchup they go on the road to San Antoino.
IMO - I take option B. Yes, Memphis is dangerous and would be a tough out. But please give us SA in the second round instead of OKC. |

Key of course is to make sure you hold the $3 seed and secure HCA for the first round. Memphis is only 13-16 on the road this season. |

I wouldn't be surprised if we went 4-5 or even 3-6 to end the year, but I still doubt we hit the lottery. We're basically guaranteed the playoffs at this point, since it's doubtful the teams just out of the top 8 will run the tables.
Edit: To be clear, I still think we have a shot at reaching the finals. This team has a ton of talent, and if we can tighten up our rotations and our key players can pull together and play as well as they can, we have a shot. Not a good one, but a decent one. |

Keep Kobe on the damn sidelines. Kobe should start playing 5 games before the Playoffs. |
