The officiating in this game was just awful for both sides. I nearly lost a chunk of hair watching this game

Lakers out rebounded the Nuggets, better shooting percentage, better 3pt percentage although both teams sucked, more steals, fewer turnovers, more blocks and actually one less foul.

Doesn't help the winning cause to shoot 60% FT as a team though, or more specifically have MWP go 0 for 4 from the line.

Still, a close game throughout! Good job Lakers!!

i'd like to see him get some time at the 2 with kobe moving to the 3. just junk the SF core completely.
He's shown the 2 is his spot. I'd like to see him at the 2 when Blake comes back. Blake 1, Goudelock 2, Kobe 3

It's amazing how this game literally came down to Artest making ONE THREE POINT SHOT. Artest from 2010 finally pulled through.

Blake/Goudelock/Kobe would be an interesting starting lineup, but that leaves the bench with Fisher/Barnes/MWP.... or maybe Kapono.

Bench about broke even tonight, mostly thanks to both Drews.

Scary pair, but they do have a history of looking awful, only to raise their games when it counts.

I wouldn't start them but I'd give that lineup some PT. Blake 1, Goudelock 2, Kobe 3 Pau 4, Bynum 5. Not starters change ups.

Good team win but our bench still sucks. It got out scored tonight 46 to 21.

Mike Brown was pleased that his team found a way to win, but displeased with the lack of execution down the stretch.

Yeah I gotta agree - If that lineup started clicking they'd be real dangerous. I'm curious to find out if Brown pulls that group together for a look-see in a couple weeks.

Was Kobe as bad as the box score shows or is that deceiving?

^No Kobe wasn't that bad overall. He had a bad stretch to start the third again where he went into chuck mode and the offense stalled when he missed. However, Kobe was a big factor helping the Lakers win in the 4th though; some key offensive rebounds, GREAT hustle and some very smart, timely passing, to Bynum in particular. Kobe repeatedly pulled in the defense and delivered some great passes to Drew for point blank scoring opportunities with the game on the line in the final minutes. He also won a few possessions when he wasn't getting literally tackled.

Mike Brown is pissed because Kobe waived him off in the 4th when he was telling Kobe to get the ball in the frontcourt quickly lol

Only if you're one of those people who get hung over FG%. He played a good game, great passing, recognizing the hard doubles, rebounding (even pulling off a huge O board in the clutch), good D. Would've been a great game, had he been able to hit a few more shots. At least 3 of those FGA shouldn't have counted because he was assaulted on his way up.

well he was having a fit with goudlock's slow, stalking dribble in the backcourt. i guess it's expected when you shooting guards masquerading as point's.

and yes, fisher is the fastest on the team in bringing the ball upcourt. wrap your head around that.

This game showed Glock is a 2. We should play small ball once Blake comes back. Blake/Glock/Barnes/Murph/McRambis (or Andrew).

Cool. Thx! Never can be too sure of the dynamics of a game from just the box score. From what I read on here and the news, Bynum was balling and Gasol was a monster on the boards! Glad we got the first one!!

Very disappointed with the lack of clock management down the stretch.

Up 4 with 47.8, a full shot clock and the ball.

All you needed to do is hold on to the ball on that possession and use clock and the game is basically over.

For a championship tested team with veterans on the floor, we are incredibly dumb down the stretch. No reason for Pau to be handling the ball 20+ feet from the basket (and going behind the back nonetheless).

Barring horrible ft shooting, there is no way Denver should have had the ball with 11 seconds and a chance to win.
