Ya Deng traveled AFTER we gave the ball away! I never, well, very rarely blame refs. we simply failed to pack the paint, protect the ball and rebound like we did for the first 18 minutes of the second half. This is what you get with a few true starters and a slew of role players. Blown leads and out hustled by the athletic Clippers. _________________ I <3 Basketball!
You can point to the last two plays.. but the bad momentum started with missed FTs. It just deflates the team.
Still, when you have someone like Kobe, you would hope he is not the one making unforced errors. Pau is NEVER ready in that kind of situation to handle Kobe's pass. He never holds his position and always tries to use his length and someone who is more aggressive (and that is almost everyone) can get the steal. No idea why Kobe decided to jump pass it when they had the lead.

Pau cannot make clutch FTs. He simply doesn't have the stones and never has.
But Kobe's defense (if that is what you want to call it) and horrific ballhandling gave the refs a chance to miss two obvious calls in the last 10 seconds (both against the Lakers of course) to decide the game. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny

Good to hear Mike Brown still has the LeBron choke cologne still on. That's the difference between a Phil coached team and a Mike Brown team: Mental toughness and awareness. Even spaceballs like LO had their moments under P-Jax. Mike Brown's a good defensive coach. Just not a good head coach.

Come on man, Pau tried to go meet the ball. It's just Kobe threw an awful pass because he jumped and was off balance. The ball went essentially right between Pau and Deng, and Deng is quicker and more athletic with arms just as long as Pau's. It was a terrible decision. Worst case you're supposed to call a timeout there and reset, not try a desperation pass.
Not sure what Kobe was thinking when he passed out. They had to foul even if they did trap him. Oh well, I'm already over it.
Yep. I don't blame Kobe for the loss (only one who actually looked like he had some confidence at the end), but that was definitely a situation where you hold the ball and wait for them to foul you. But still, kinda annoyed with Pau there. Looked like he wanted no part of the ball and just clammed up as the Bulls swarmed for that steal.

I can't believe anyone could watch that game and conclude the Mike Brown was the reason the Lakers lost.
But to each his own. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny
Too many guys choked this game away to just blame one guy. Kobe fouls Deng and gives him 2 FT's, Gasol had fouled Deng too and gave him a 3 point play plus he missed 2 FT's, Kobe turns the ball over and gets blocked for the GW shot ,Mcroberts misses 2 FT's.

The only person who that on was Kobe himself. Tried to pass outta a double for no reason whatsoever. He had the foul incoming and a free trip to the line. Then on the final play, you do as expected. Get Kobe the ball. But he was the one who chose to do a layup in 3xtraffic.
