Mamba-
I respect the fact that even though you've got Mamba as your username, you call it like it is and when KB is not playing well you call him out on it. |

They are just following orders. |
Sorry, but I don't buy it. Players have to make adjustments. Even if the plan was to double relentlessly, players need to assess whether the plan is working, and make changes. Some of our guards made adjustments (Blake, Fish), while others didn't (Shannon). If you can't make adjustments on the floor, then you shouldn't be paid to play professional basketball. As the old saying goes, "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results". _________________ I Recommend VLC Player: http://www.videolan.org/

Also great job by LO manning the boards. |
LO was the player of the game.
Great game. |

It looked like Phil went with a playoff rotation. Brown and Blake didn't play more than 14-15 minutes and all the starters+LO played 30 or more minutes. |

Kobe did not play well but I think he played right.... if that makes sense. Sure he was missing shots at the rim, but he was aggressive, and kept ball movement going with nice passes to Gasol.
Gasol also made just about every right decision.
And we should give some Props to ron artest tonight. |

Once the game got a little bit physical in the 3rd, the Lakers started to play playoffs basketball with tight defense and discipline offense (well, Kobe didn't finish some easy ones around the rim, but yea...) _________________ 2008-2009 NBA CHAMPIONS ------Your LOS ANGELES LAKERS!!

Well, I winced when I did it... so it's at least acknowledged narcissism.
Honestly, just wanted to point out how much of a linchpin the man is. When he's aggressive, best of $%^& luck... especially to mid-tier teams.
Now, if his other half will just allow him to return to his game day naps. I had a feeling LO would wake up on the road. He started to lag there a bit... too much "other" focus at home. Have a feeling it's that way for a number of guys (ring raffles, mix tapes, etc.). Would explain the poor home record. |

great balance scoring (6 players in double figures), and great defense - last five quarters the lakers have held the opposition to 14, 16, and 16.
the first thing out of phil's mouth to the players in his pre-game speech thursday will be the celtics' 60% shooting the last time the teams played. _________________ "i was born down in the valley where the sun refused to shine, but i'm climbin' up to the highlands, goin' to make that mountain mine" ~ Lakers, 2011 |

I think we also have to give huuuuuuge props to PJ for his use of timeouts and straightening out the team in the 4th. It did not start well, and he reigned it in quickly.
Also have to give Kobe props for continuing to attack the basket, despite the lack of calls. If you insist on scoring, and you've got some of the best O rebounders around on your side, that's the way to do it. |

I thought he played with a nice balance for most of the game, but in the second half a few times he got too caught up in trying to abuse Tony Allen and it took them out of their offense with some bad possessions. |

Yes- Phil's failure to call a TO really hurt them in the 3rd, but I was glad he didn't repeat the mistake in the 4th. |

Kobe being great on Thursday wont be enough. His game was ugly tonight. But like someone else said, he did go aggressive to the hoop he just did not het many calls. But when he drives we can attack the boards and even our 3 point looks are good if players rotate to help ...
I think he will be great like the 1st Boston game ...but will Ron, PAU, LO and Bynum meet the challenge? if they do, our like our chances against Boston ...or anyone else ... |

Absolutely. |
Marc and Randolph combined for 7-28. | um, aren't you guys forgetting someone? LO played his share of good defense on both Gasol and Z-Bo, especially in the 4th quarter. _________________ “I’m just a basketball player, you know? Just put me where you need me.” -Lamar Odom
