I'm really excited for this game. There's some drama swirling around Lakerland and I will be curious to see how the team responds. Here's hoping we kick some San Antonio butt! _________________ Good Laker book I recommend, "The Biggest What-If's in Lakers History" http://www.amazon.com/Biggest-What-Ifs-Angeles-History-ebook/dp/B00BB3OEC0 |

This will be really great if we can win this game. The sports media/analysts will finally stop questioning whether or not we can win against elite teams. Then we can hit the road trip on a positive note. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

At least Bonner is out. One less shooter the Lakers can make sure to leave open. |

Let's impose our will on them.
Let's get back to playing our game.
Get the ball inside as often as possible and run that offense.
Get bodies moving and cutting and move that ball.
Get back to playing gritty team defense.
Get back to dominating the boards.
Get back to trusting each other and playing as a team. _________________ Everything. Changes. |

Somebody, and i mean SOMEBODY better checked Dejuan Blair. This guy is like Big Baby Davis, undersized, fat, and active around the rim. Pau Gasol should dominate when not guarded by Tim Duncan. I hope he takes more shots because I am almost certain he will get a lot of touches. _________________ 2008-2009 NBA CHAMPIONS ------Your LOS ANGELES LAKERS!!

The defense this team's played the last 3 games has been pretty difficult to watch. Hopefully a better effort there tonight. |

Well the first sentence pretty much guarantee nobody will check him. That's precisely the type of players our frontline struggles against. Because they wait for rebounds and don't box out, instead of pursuing rebounds. |

Look at the Spurs road record:
15-6
Lakers
15-8
Both teams have identical road wins, the only difference is that the Spurs are very strong at home...like most young teams.
Spurs don't have a chance against the fury of the Lakers tonight.
It's PACK BACK time!! _________________ Before Lamar trade: Lakers-57 wins (2011)

if we have another double digit home loss, or even a home loss where we had no realistic chance of winning in the late 4th quarter, there will be a trade. book it. |

Everyone keeps talking about a trade, but I can't imagine any significant trade the Lakers can make.
Kobe, Gasol, Odom and Bynum are our only real tradeable assets, and only Bynum would make sense to a non-contender.
Kobe simply can't be traded and Gasol and Odom don't make sense for bad teams because they'll be old by the time those teams can rebuild.
And because of his injury-prone status, LA will never get great value for Bynum.
Seriously, why would any team trade a good young player for anything LA can realistically offer? We don't even have a valuable expiring contract.
We either win now with the players we have or prepare for some lean seasons. |

Biggest game of the year.
If you lose this game at HOME, trade anyone not named Kobe or Odom. |
