Well, we should have beaten Dallas, but we hosed that one...........I'll have to see what Utah's status is, if they have anybody out. The great thing is we have Bynum back, and he usually kills the Jazz. Fisher usually plays pretty well against Deron. Good week to get healthy and go on a winning streak....

Looking at the stats, the Jazz have dropped to 28th in the league in rebounding and 18th in defense. They say on their site they are having lots of trouble with making perimeter shots. Elson is hurt, but that is no big deal. Last 24 games they are 12-12.

come on, they had quite some time to rest, play at home, no soft white jerseys, all good signs for a nice win, IMO

We usually beat them at home. It's in Utah that we have some trouble.

Lakers are playing poorly when they get 3-4 days without a game. Glad to see I'm not the only one hatting the white jersey

Lakers have to focus and take these next 5 games starting with Utah. Need to assert some authority before that rough 7 game roadie next month which will be the key test of the regular season.

Well the last time the Jazz won in Staples with Kobe playing was 10 years ago. 1-24 since (3-24 overall, with Kobe sitting out losses in 2005 and 2006). Hopefully this trend continues.

Lakers easily, going away!
Jazz 89
Lakers 104

This will be the case for all 3 "tough" games this week!

Step 1: Use the bigs.

Step 2: Don't ignore the bigs.

there is only one team in the nba that ranks top five in FG percentage, opponents FG percentage, rebounding, and point differential - not bad for an old washed up team.

Kobe needs 34pts to pass Hakeem Olajuwon for 8th on the all-time list.

I hope neither Milsap or Jefferson have 20/20 games.
I hope Memo or CJ Miles hit six 3-pointers each.
I hope DWill doesn't have a point guard H-O-F game for the ages and exposing DFish as the decrepit regular-season player that he is.
I hope Waston doesn't have an over-the-hill scrub career game for the ages and exposing DFish as the decrepit regular-season player that he is.
I hope Price doesn't have a young scrub game for the ages and exposing DFish as the decrepit regular-season player that he is.
I hope Kirilenko's current haircut doesn't drive me postal.

I hope we win.
