Ya know this could be part of the problem... Stop setting up this thread to soon before the games. It just may be part of the bad luck of late. Change this approach, maybe it will effect the "Laker biorhythms" or something...

I wanted to start this particular game thread early to get all of our minds off of yesterdays game. We need to move forward and focus on our next opponent the San Antonio Spurs. This will be our biggest game of the year. The Spurs have the best record in the NBA. This is a big Conference game.

It's hard to imagine the Lakers winning this, as lackluster as their last 2 games have been. Still, I'm going to go out on a limb and say:

Lakers 104
Spurs 98

As much of a "must-win" game as you cna have in the regular season to stay in contention for HCA.

So much for going 3-0, that Xmas game didn't go as expected after the Milwaukee embarrassment. Hope they can win this one, it will be something to build on.

Dare I say another 15+ point loss? I figured they phoned it in against a Milwaukee without Jennings/Maggette but in prime time against the Heat? If that doesn't get one motivated, I don't think any regular season game will. And you need those to actually get to the playoffs...

We're probably going to get blown out. If anything, Phil won't really coach because he's going to have to coach against Pop in a 7 game series soon enough. No need to release all the secrets.
