I predict the Lakers will score in the mid-80's.

If we lose it might be impossible to reach them

If the Spurs score in the low 80s, then we win the game

The stakes are raised for the Lakers.

I love these games. Win or lose it's going to be fun to watch.

National TV is anything that isn't just a local broadcast.

As a Spurs fan i expect LAL to come out strong for this game with Kobe out to make a statement. He will score at least 30 this game - the key for the Spurs will be how many shots it takes him to get that. It will be an interesting game and the Spurs have also been (relatively) struggling the last few weeks; but are winning games primarily due to a strong bench (Neal and Hill have been fantastic) and exceptionally strong guard play. However, Pop's rotations have been baffling and he is not playing Tiago Splitter enough IMO as facing a team like LAL (with multiple talented bigs) and the Spurs need his size and he needs more minutes to get ready for the playoffs.

Expect it to be a very close game that could go either way although predicting the Spurs do pull it out in a close one - 101-98.

I also want to state I believe the LAL current problems are transitory and LAL will be back on track to be an extremely tough out in the playoffs.

What do you mean by that? Temporary?

I think Pau taking off the entire summer and being played too many minutes has caused him to hit a wall. He's playing like his legs are dead. I think that is the single biggest problem we're dealing with now. Until he gets over the hump or Bynum gets his conditioning and rhythm going it's going to be ugly.

I just looked at the standings and we are now 5 games behind the Spurs. This game is a must win for the Lakers.

Stay in front of Tony Parker, we'll be fine.
Hands up defense when Manu is driving and dishing to 3 pt shooters, we'll be fine.

"stay in front of Tony Parker" won't happen. Fisher let's bench scrub has career high. We are talking about a star PG in Parker.

Not sure about Manu, we always get torched from 3point land due to let's other teams' 3point shooter open all night.

It will be tough. I hope they will fix 2 biggest flaws in their game (guard penetration and wide open shooter).

it will take a huge turnaround from our pathetic play of the last several games in order for us to even keep this one close, let alone win

Here's hoping we use this game as a first step in righting the ship...

lol, true, i should have probably wrote limit Tony Parker's scoring in the paint, so the onus is on our bigs as well as PGs.

Yeah, that's what I was saying earlier. This is as close as you can get to a must-win game during the regular season unless it's April and you're in danger of falling out of the playoffs. Lose this game and making up the difference for HCA will become very difficult.

Guard the 3 point line and this game is winnable, but , knowing this team , expect them to get lit up again.
