Who knows why there's a lot of superstition... I guess some folks feel there are some basketball spirits that huddle around every game with a long checklist to determine which team is deserving of victory:
1. Game threads started by certain individuals
2. Players growing beards for x amount of days
3. Knocking on wood before games
4. Certain players pointing up to the sky in acknowledgment after a made miracle shot will get a nod
5. Making sure the opposite of what Charles Barkley says happens
etc...

I heard that Pau is feeling better, but does anybody think this would be a game to rest him in? I mean, if we can't beat the Wizards, at home, without Pau... then wow. _________________ Good Laker book I recommend, "The Biggest What-If's in Lakers History" http://www.amazon.com/Biggest-What-Ifs-Angeles-History-ebook/dp/B00BB3OEC0

Pau is fine. The 3 days off made a huge difference. We need Pau to play. We are already down Bynum and Ratliff. Wash still has a decent young and athltetic frontline. We can't take any team for granted right now. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.

I can't wait to see John Wall in action. I haven't had time to see any other Wizards games. _________________ -ATM Entertainment

I’m fully expecting a blowout here tonight. Lakers need to build on their trouncing of Sacramento on Sunday. Don’t mistake the Wizards with being a disciplined team. It’s going to be a lot of up and down one-on-one play from them.
Match-ups to exploit
Got nobody to guard Kobe. Kirk Hinrich will try his best. Just too short. Nick Young is their best shot. Don’t think he will be focused enough.
I like Pau’s chances on the inside against quick leaping JaVale McGee. Look for Gasol to utilize pump fakes as well as making interior passes to Odom to confuse him. We could see a clinic of passing from the Lakers big men tonight against the very young and over-aggressive McGee and Andray Blatche.
