To be fair, the last play, it was not Ron's fault. It was Kobe's fault.
The pass was fine, better than Kobe shooting over 3 people. Ron Artest had an open 3 pointer to win the game, instead he hesitates and shoots an off balanced brick. how exactly is that the fault of Kobe?
they shouldve called a TO to take out artest and put in shannon. terrible coaching. he knows he's wrong but phil is just too stubborn to concede to a timeout
Terrible decision making by Kobe. People saying it wasn't a bad pass because Ron received it miss the point.
Kobe if he intended to hit Ron should have done it sooner, he was WIDE open, but Kobe had the intent to score. He flipped it out there when there was no other option, at that time Gay was only a step away from recovering on Ron, which he did.

If that's Shannon, Blake, Barnes, or even Fisher with that shot instead of Artest, they at least get it off with a chance at going in. Ron hesitates and has zero lift = no chance of it going in.
Why have we completely stopped playing defense?
We look awful out there
This isn't the same team that started the season
It isn't. This is a worse team than last year so far and worse than Celtics last year in the regular season. Look it up.
Behind back vs both of those teams _________________ Winning recipe: Effort, Intensity, Focus, Composure, Patience, Execution, Attention to detail, Discipline & Persistence
1. Porous perimeter defense, wearing out Pau further.
2. Poor interior defense and a tendency to leave the basket exposed. _________________ We are stardust

Vintage phil jackson move keeping artest in there when shannon was playing good at the end and then not calling for a timeout to run a damn play. _________________ 16
Well kiss home court advantage in the finals away (assuming the Lakers get that far). Losing to pathetic teams like Indiana (at home) and Memphis is unacceptable!
I know, right? Not a single one of the Lakers' 16 title teams ever lost to "pathetic" teams, or, in this case .500 teams. Not a single one. Doomed.
Brings back memories of Shaq & Co. during the three-peat when we lost pretty bad to the last-place Bulls twice.

Watch the play again. Artest was wide open before Kobe left the floor with the defenders swarming. He tossed it back to Ron as a last resort when he knew he wouldn't be able to get the shot off. If he initially looked to set up Ron, he would've had him a half second earlier WIDE open.

Hence the failure.
Too much sense.

One im not mad at ron... kobe shouldn't have put him in that position again. They should have called a time out and set up a play.. wtf were they thinking? _________________

At this point it might be a good idea to phase in Blake. Fisher is just atrocious. He was caught repeatedly in no man's land, failing to rotate. _________________ We are stardust

Pau played like a complete puss in the 1st 3 quarters. He finally woke up, but (bleep) give this dude some 5 Hour Energy before games. He was moving around as if he had lead weights in his shoes.
Pau should have been plenty rested at the end... PJ followed through on his commitment to up Caracter's playing time. This time Derrick got 3 minutes instead of 2.
