The lack of timeouts were his Jedi Zen ways. I think we're giving him too much credit for jedi mind tricks with Lamar. He held Lamar out for a long time in the first half, too, because of match ups. I think he just wanted to ride Shannon's hot hand and match up to small ball. Best way to do that, IMO, would be to put Shannon at point and bring in LO who is a great small ball player... c'est la vie. |
Well you'd think after Lamar playing quite a bit at Center for the US team all summer that Phil would rest Gasol and put Lamar down low. Gasol was obviously out of gas in the 4th quarter and it cost us big time.
