Lakers - Nuggets Podcast Preview
Quote: | To take a closer look at the Nuggets heading into Thursday evening’s game in Denver, we enlisted the Denver Post’s Benjamin Hochman to provide some details.
The Nuggets come into the game angry off a bad loss in Indiana (144-113) in which the Pacers literally hit their first 20 shots of the third quarter before a buzzer-beating miss, while the Lakers boast an 8-0 record after a sloppy victory against Minnesota (99-94) on Tuesday.
Hochman offered an update on Carmelo Anthony, looked at Denver’s rather thin front line in the absence of Kenyon Martin and Chris Andersen, told us how Chauncey Billups looks in person and described the solid play of UCLA product Arron Afflalo.

Yeah, whatever, "Let's give the Pacers 144 points" team.
Lakers 10-0 by Monday. _________________ Before Lamar trade: Lakers-57 wins (2011)

Lakers 10-0 by Monday. | I believe that will give them more fuel to the fire and come out gunnin against the Lakers. Plus Lakers always struggle in Denver, must be the altitude level and 3 hour drive to the Arena.
Close one, no Martin and no Andersen... Lakers by 8. _________________ Phil Luke |

Nuggets poor play will contribute to them playing better.
Lakers poor play will contribute to them playing even worse...?

Denver playing with a thin frontcourt. Ironically that equates to the Lakers frontcourt being in bogus foul trouble rather than dominating.
Only in this league... |

Both teams will be looking to bounce back after bad games... Lakers will bring their A game, Thuggets will bring their Thug game. Lakers by a TKO. |

It is important to see how the team to respond from a "loss" game yesterday. They have lost:
1. Their champion identity
2. Their intensity;
3. Their expectation from the Lakers fans;
4. Their coming day-offs graced by Phil. |

I hope so, as far as Phil don't put Luke in the squard with Steve. That helps. |

Now Nuggets is at a loss. Their "star" Anthony is just shopping arround and did not focus on game at all. I will be afraid of Ty Lawson and like to see how Lakers will meet this speedy PG.

As long as we can keep Jr cool and Carmelo is held in check. Shouldn't be too tough of a victory. We need to clean up the defense and the boards a bit and we will be fine. I'm all for Sasha or Ebanks getting Luke's minutes, but I support our bench so whoever is out there I say give em' hell. _________________ The most important shot in basketball. |

We'll see a lot of points. That's for sure.
Don't have a good feeling about this one. But then again, I thought we'd lose to the Blazers. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid! |
