Impressive. Dallas has a lot of guard depth already, so maybe the Lakers can steal him for a training camp invite. |

Oh snap.
I never really paid attention to this kid. I guess the whole "Harvard" part threw me off. |

Wow. I knew about his triple threat skills and high hoop IQ, but he wasn't easy to read from a draft standpoint (and hence undrafted). _________________ Resident Car Nut.

Not many GMs would gamble a draft pick on a kid from Harvard. |

Yes they would, especially considering he got an invite to the Portsmouth Invitational and played well there as well, just other players outshined him there as well.

When I watch him, it's easy to see the skill level, PG play, and average athleticism. What is difficult to decipher, is whether or not those skills were NBA translatable. On other players it's a lot easier to read like Ebanks, Caracter Wall, Cousins, etc. SPL play proved it was. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

I was really impressed by the skills and composure. He didn't back down from the #1 pick in the draft. I like that. _________________ Stop crying and start doing.

Eh, he's alright. Beating Wall doesn't impress me a ton because Walls not yet a very good defensive player. Wall of course has the tools to be a star defender, but anyone whose watched him know he doesn't play sound D yet. I suppose Lin could be someone used on a non-guaranteed deal then cut in January in order to give Fisher early rest, but I'd much rather have a vet. |

using your perspective, but from the opposite side of the ball, we can say that Wall's offensive game right now is already extremely potent. Thus, Lin defended that very well and made him miss shots pretty badly. So, if you're saying Lin scored on Wall, who is a poor defender right now, we can also say that Lin defended Wall well, who is a great offensive player right now |

Kid's got some skill, but his shot looks like it needs some work... I wouldn't throw all of my eggs into one basket, especially during Summer League... But as much as our team needs a penetrating guard, why not? |

Then why are some top picks doing horribly in the Summer League? If Summer League is all about guys doing better than they should, then why does this happen? Seriously... |

They young players haven't exactly polished their skill set and that's why they tend to look worse.
Considering the top 5 picks in the draft, they all played well, especially if age is considered.
More mature players by skill set already have defined characteristics that works most effectively for them. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

I guess Lin can at lease drive to the basket and make the bucket, but would be a better fit on the team instead of Sessions? |

Not really a question anymore. Wall's game has improved a lot. Not to mention putting him on a mediocre Wizards team has put that team on his shoulders so it was sink or swim. |
