Lakers haven't lost 3 straight playoff games since 2006, and I don't expect that to change. Lakers W in a close game. _________________ Winning recipe: Effort, Intensity, Focus, Composure, Patience, Execution, Attention to detail, Discipline & Persistence |

Just give yourself a damn chance. Sick of seeing these guys screw themselves over in the 4th. We lost two games because of that. _________________ *sighs*

Low I.Q. Certain players, ahem, Odom and Ron, are just not very intelligent. They WILL make mistakes again, no matter what. We have to win DESPITE them. They will make those screwups again, Lakers as a team just need to minimize that. _________________ Winning recipe: Effort, Intensity, Focus, Composure, Patience, Execution, Attention to detail, Discipline & Persistence |

Kobe knows he shouldn't have thrown the ball ahead to Artest. _________________ https://psntrophyleaders.com/user/view/tenike1

It bothers me that we're down in this series, when in my head we are clearly the better team. Sure we have weaknesses, but so do the celtics. It clearly is going to come down to who wants it more. Do the Lakers not remember losing to these douche-bags?! |

that's what I don't get, all these stories I hear about the bus getting rattled, rocks thrown, the downright embarrassment. How this team is down 2-3 I just don't get it _________________ 14 till 17 |

The reason Lakers are down is that they are playing with house money. Period. Lets see the real Lakers now. _________________ Winning recipe: Effort, Intensity, Focus, Composure, Patience, Execution, Attention to detail, Discipline & Persistence |

Me either
The reason we are down is partly the Celtics luck getting critical calls their way down the stretch, partly the fact that our defense hasn't been that good, we've struggled offensively and have deviated from the game plan, and our other players haven't been aggressive enough.
To win at home we just need to be aggressive, get rebounds, everybody do their jobs, do that and we'll be fine because we are a better team than they are. _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

we had house money in game 4 imo, game 5 was when we needed to see the "real" lakers. somebody gets a freak injury in game 6 and it's a wrap. at least if up 3-2 we had one more game to close out _________________ 14 till 17 |

Yes, but Celtics needed the game MORE and played like it. These teams are too evenly matched for Lakers not to show up 100% _________________ Winning recipe: Effort, Intensity, Focus, Composure, Patience, Execution, Attention to detail, Discipline & Persistence |

If they lose, I am not watching next season. I can't take another loss in the Finals (would be my third since following the team), it's getting too stressful.
That being said, I AM WATCHING NEXT SEASON BECAUSE WE'RE WINNING THIS ISH! GO LAKERS!!! |

I just hope guys don't come out with some kind of (bleep) defeatist attitude like the beginning of this game - where they go through the motions mentally and surrender in the face of all the false bravado by KG/PP, and wilt under pressure. We saw it happen in Game 6 in 2008 - if that memory doesn't serve as a reminder, playing at home, than nothing ever will be sufficient to animate these guys.
That's why in a way I'm glad that the team is talking about moving on from Game 5. They need to leave the whole thing behind and go forward with a new attitude - if they dwell on it too much, they risk losing their morale for Tuesday night, being distracted and tentative.
Whatever happened, happened. We still are in control of our own destiny, on our own floor. That's the key. I dont doubt Kobe, Fisher, even Pau showing up from a mental standpoint - however the rest of the guys, you kind of have to worry about. I hope to God they're ready.
(bleep) these (bleep) (bleep) and get it done. Too much is riding on this to let it all slip away now. |
