I was calm before Games 1 and 3....I am also calm right now for Game 5. It will be close but the Lakers are going to prevail.

Lot of anxiousness for us fans to say the least. You can't count out the Lakers if they lose this one, but for a Celtic team that's perhaps a better road team than home team, you can't deny they have a strong shot at taking one on the road to end the series at Staples. But on the other hand, if the Lakers win Game 5, they force the C's into a much more awkward position of having to win 2 straight road games, which is a tall order for any team regardless of how great they are.
But everyone's aware of the stakes. Probably won't be an easy game, but let's hope the Lakers know how to respond. |

Win and finally put a rest to all the banter about 2008, Celtic Pride, the Leprechauns, Boston, Chowder, whatever. (bleep) it all.
This is it. It's time for our guys to put up or shut up. |

Damn, all the chips are stacking towards the Lakers' favor.....
1.) Kobe Bryant miserable and media asks him if he's "wiped out"
2.) Knee drain for Bynum, going to play game 5 100%
3.) Odom will have a big game
4.) Pau's pissed
5.) All the trash-talking the Celtics did on game 4
6.) Clearing of the air between Artest and PJ
The Lakers are a PISSED team getting beat by the Celtics' bench. They're going to come out and play with purpose tonight.
Kobe's also due for a MONSTER game. Hopefully it's tonight. |

im a little concerned with everyone simultaneously wanting to have a break out game. u know kobe is gonna try and take control of this swing game and put LA on his shoulders. and u also have drew saying hes gonna be agressive and play extremely hard with his knee being better. then u have lamar saying he studied tape of where the seams were to attack them and saying he knows he needs to score and be a factor. and on top of that u have artest now saying he spoke with jackson and has the green light to have a breakout game offensively. i mean i love the enthusiasm, but i hope they can channel that into WINNING basketball as a team, not 5 guys all trying to be the one who wins game 5 for them. because u know that wont get it done against the celtics. |

My 1 year old son predicted a victory, and he hasn't been wrong yet in terms of predicting wins and losses in the Finals. Also, I had a dream that LO had a huge game, and I NEVER dream about the Lakers. We're going to go up 3-2 after tonight's game. |

I woke up this morning feeling good about our chances to win this game. Go Lakers! _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

See, I think the game plan is to attack the Celtics inside and keep on attacking the whole game. I don't think the Celtics have a defense for when we pack it in (they just do NOT match up with us)
The Celtics would have to resort to pretty much fouling us everytime we bring it inside because we will mess them up defensively if there's no space to help. Question is, how would the refs call tonight's game? |

with drew and lamar pledging to clean up the boards tonight,i have a feeling kobe is gonna approach this game just like he did the last swing game, which was game 3. i wouldnt be suprised to see him get off almost 30 shots tonight. he will set the tone of staying in attack mode that way like game 3. the bad news for boston is this time hes gonna be on an extra days rest with his legs. i bet those shots go in tonight, and thats gonna open everything up for the rest of the team. open shots for artest, lanes for odom to cut, space for pau, etc.. |

Counting down the hours til the Lakers storm in with those away jerseys and choke the Celts' trophy hopes away! Plenty of players want to have a breakout game, but this will come down to Phil getting them to stay in the triangle and not turning the ball over. |
