so getting a couple 99c tacos is that important to some of you that you have to make that chant on national TV during a Finals game? give me a break, and you wonder why the laker fans are getting bad reps around the league. and what happen to the "wheel chair" chants that would have been so appropriate and innovative when Pierce shooting free throws? where were they? don't give me that ppl pay the $$$ they should chant whatever they want bull crap, yeah, they pay top $$$ for the Finals' tix and yet got so giddy when given some free tacos. once again, the atmosphere was just alike a regular season game tonight.
I know. 99 cents is nothing. Now tell me why you didn't buy a courtside ticket tonight. _________________ We are stardust

It's pretty much Lakers version of a free shirt. The chant means the Lakers are winning so it serves as one to pump up the crowd and what I love most piss off the opponents.
I was waiting for the "wheelchair" chants... dissapointed again _________________ "These young guys are playing checkers. I'm out there playing chess." Kobe Bryant

We want tacos = WE WANT DEFENSE! (also usually a sign that we have the game on lock)Anyone agree?
By the way OP you mad?
no, i don't think that's the case. the "i want tacos" chants have been played out since two years ago. i don't have problem with fans chanting them during regular season games, it's a long season, so why not have some fun. but this is the Finals, bring some intensity for once laker fans.

It does an excellent job of degrading the whole opposing team not just one player like the wheelchair chant would of done.
