The Lakers wanted it. They hustled. Loose balls they were on the floor. Im not used to seeing gold jerseys on the floor but they were last night. They were getting those hustle plays that the Suns usually get. If we were to get those hustle plays every game it makes us that much harder to beat.
Gotta give props when props are due. Lakers played like Champions. Not sissy little hollywood team who just wants to show up and get the W for wearing the Lakers jersey. |

I thought you were gonna say the refs.
Yeah I know what you mean. Even when the Suns (or any opponent) make a run, it still feels like we are in control of the game when we play like that. Of course that all goes to hell when the whistles start blowing. |

yeah, for most of the game, they got after it good. (except for during the suns run where they were out hustled) _________________ "We got a new universe coming and he's going to control all our universes. We're going to put our universes together" - Metta World Peace |

A cameo?
The LO critics are at it again I see with the science fiction crap.

Well, it can now be revealed that LO was paid that year to allow the Suns to get that ball... Odom is much better than Allen. Rondo is now the best player on the Celtics. |

That that would mean you take odom over Garnett or pierce?
either way i dont agree with the statement
i actually think allen has a bigger impact consistently on the game then odom. Hes tough, hits big shots, physical, doesnt back down.
Dont confuse that with i like him more then odom. I hate Allens guts and hope Kobe rips his heart out and drops 82 on him |

Up three with time running out and no foul was committed. After two missed three point shots, Richardson miraculously banks one in and only another miracle, from Artest, saved Phil from an off-season of second guessing.
The right play is to foul in that situation and not give the opponent the chance to tie the game.
How can you give a team three chances to tie a game in the final seconds? You have to foul. |

Get into a FT battle with Phx? No thanks.
We got the stop...got 2 of them. They just forgot their fundamentals and didn't box out. You can't give any team 3 bites of the apple. _________________ So glad we gave you your flowers while you were here, Kobe. |

Phil made the right choice. When the play started there was to much time left to foul and Steve Nash had the ball thats auto 2 made free throws. We dont need to get into a free throw shooting contest with Steve Nash with that much time left. And after the first miss and 2nd miss you cant foul they shot to quick. Lakers just needed to rebound. Lamar should have gotten that first rebound that came out long but he let Steve Nash beat him to it even though nash started behind him. |

Seriously why was this merged into the game thread a day after the game...once again mods proving to be inept around here...it's an off day! People don't want to weed through a 158 page thread to talk about different aspects of the series on an off day... |

Its not different aspects of the series its something pertaining to the end of game 5 and this is the game 5 thread. This wasnt something that really needed its own thread in my opinion. |

Haven't heard much on thoughts on Pau's last few minutes of Game 5.
Nash toying with him in isolation.
Missed dunk (no idea if he was hacked or not).
Ran at JRich on his initial 3 attempt, then failed to get back to him on the rebound kick out.....that shot was on Pau.
Getting molested by Channing Frye under the bucket on the GW shot.
Quietly, he was involved in a lot of plays which could/did effect the outcome of the Game. I'd love to see a 30 / 18 game from him tonite...I'm hoping tonite will be like Game 6's vs Denver/Utah last yr , not Houston last yr or Portland back in 1999-2000 where we just lay down and quit. |
