Glad to see LO make cameo, but if he wants to be part of the cast he needs to take his act on the road. _________________ "You Must Be Willing To Give Up That Which Can Be Lost In Order To Gain That Which Cannot Be Lost." - FORTUNE COOKIE |

They're not going to make that call at the end of the game. Besides if the Lakers would have rebounded the ball better, the game ends there. _________________ "You Must Be Willing To Give Up That Which Can Be Lost In Order To Gain That Which Cannot Be Lost." - FORTUNE COOKIE |

Agreed about that call wasn't something they're going to call. Just like Kobe's last shot - if he was fouled, it won't be called. but the rest of the game.... That OBVIOUS travel Nash got away with that gave Amar'e 2 points....just wow. The entire Laker team practically stopped playing to motion a travel to the refs, yet they ignored it. How do you miss something so obvious as a player stopping and changing pivot feet with a HUGE step? |

He stopped gunning jumpers and focused on close range shots. thats what I have been asking him to do all year.
But for the love of the LAkers LO close out on the 3pt shooter. Im sick of seeing every sun light his mouth up with 3 after 3 after 3 after 3. MEntal laspes brought Suns back in teh game along with the ref assistance. Close out harder and Lo and dont foul on the closeout on the Road. _________________ All these LG'ers asking me questions...I tell em my name aint Lamar = So I dont OdOm (Owe Them)

Best 3rd guy on a team in the NBA.
Kobe = Best 1st guy
Pau = Best 2nd guy
Lamar = Best 3rd guy
Given the 3rd most minutes as was the case last night, we often see LO produce like the best 3rd guy in the NBA.
But having a Pau Gasol in the middle is critical. |

Dumb play by Artest jacking up the ill-advised three. richardson makes a lucky three to tie the game.
Dumb play by richardson ball-watching and not boxing out. Artest makes a hustle play to win the game.

You either, as Odom put up just a couple of points and 3 rebounds less than this game just the other day...
Stop tripp'n people. Odom has had one bad game in this series... 1 |
Seriously.... 1 bad game and it's the end of the world for Lamar
I saw a crazy stat I think on ESPN...
Lamar has outrebounded Amare 52 to 32 in this series in fewer minutes and at half of Amare's salary...luck? And it's quite a few more than Pau's 36 rebounds as well. Friggin' rebounding machine. _________________ Before Lamar trade: Lakers-57 wins (2011)

Take a look at the sequence of events in the closing minutes of the 4th Quarter...if anyone was lucky it was the suns, to even be in POSITION to go to OT.
what was it? 2 and 1's, a 4pt play and 2 offensive rebounds leading to a BANKED 3ptr + a missed dunk by pau?
I seriously lol'd when i heard frye said "we just didnt get a lucky break".
actually, u got most of the lucky breaks. |

The Suns were'nt lucky they had help from the ref's all night. The ref's handed them calls and non calls. Yea we were lucky, but we made our own luck.

This might have been the longest single game game thread in LG history (yes, longer than any game threads in our final appearances against either Orlando or Boston). _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

3rd 4th
24 28
35 22
32 32
21 30
27 29
27.8 28.2
We are allowing them to average 28 in both quarters. They get back in the game. this must change in game 6 or its going to GM 7. |

The thing with the Sun is you can't lose focus. If you have a little lull, they can put up 10 points against you in 90 seconds. The problem the Lakers have always had is they don't stomp on the opponents when they have them down. We have a lot of talented players but we go into cruise control at times. |

It's got to do with their bench. They make runs at the end 3rd / beginning of 4t with their bench.
Phil has done nothing to anticipate/stem this. _________________ Winning recipe: Effort, Intensity, Focus, Composure, Patience, Execution, Attention to detail, Discipline & Persistence

It's the Suns' bench. _________________ NBA Finals 2008 Game 4 post-game reaction:

We have to play better in the last 2 minutes of each quarter and to win game #6 we need to win the 4th quarter- something we have not done in the last 3 games! |
