I love how Lakers bounce back in Game 5s. Look for vintage ass whoopin' of the Suns.

blowout. suns can camp the paint all they want. they'll still get away with that, but the flopping and massive FT advantage won't happen.

Well, to be fair BobbyJ started Game 5/6 of the OKC series in which the Lakers won. But nevertheless, it's good to see new blood.

rak617 was on a roll

Lakers need a dose of Dick Bavetta on Thursday. he's the home cooking ref chef specialist.

I'd like for the Lakers when Nash is in the game have Fisher apply some full court pressure to slow them getting in their offense.

and we need to finally apply the Howard rules to Amare as soon as he puts the ball on the floor have a guard dig back any guard just reach in and steal the ball he's dribbling the ball from too far out we gotta attack his ass.

If anything, this stat and the fact that this team always responds in game 5's the past 3 postseasons doesn't give me solace, it just means that Lakers are due for a loss.

I hope the players dont come into the game thinking about their past success in pivotal games.

long time lurker, first time poster...

i'd love to see boston lose tonight... my boss, who is from boston, was doing the 'choke' pretty much the whole day today and i'm sick of it...

...Lakers needs to win, and must WANT it badly... actually, just treat it as a NEED, not want.

ZONE ZEN

Jared Dudley is becoming a zone defense believer.

“I believe in it because you guys are talking about it and they (the Lakers) have to answer questions about it, so obviously they’re thinking about it,” Dudley said. “Look, the stats don’t lie. They’re shooting way more threes in Games 3 and 4 than they did in 1 and 2. They got to the free-throw line more in Games 1 and 2 than they did in 3 and 4.

"The zone prevents that. It makes other people shoot the ball or make it seem like they’re open. We’re going to give those shots to Lamar (Odom) and (Ron) Artest. It’s not disrespectful to them. It’s just more about giving respect to (Pau) Gasol and Kobe. You have to let other guys beat you.”

Are Lamar and Ron going to be aggressive to make them pay? Lamar absolutely cannot stand on the perimeter and pass the ball around.. especially when he plays with Farmar and Brown (which is a crazy lineup.. but Phil isn't going to change).

Home cooking = opponents getting less than ten more free throws instead of twenty plus.

You can do the same thing to your boss at work tomorrow..look at them, I don't think they will have any players by game 6

Seriously. Our HC advantage basically consists of the calls not being too unfair, just slightly unfair. Oh, and LETS GO LA!

gut feeling that the SUNS will be called with the DEFENSIVE 3 SECOND while using their secret weapon - "THE ZONE DEFENSE"...watch out for those calls!

Am I the only one utterly insulted by the fact that the Suns are playing a 2-3 zone, a weak ass defense, and getting away with it? I mean TWO games of zone and the Lakers are still having problems? That is just a failure of coaching and just bad bad play from the players.
