Classic "going through the motions" game for LA, especially in the 2nd half. Doing just enough to win, not enough to hold a sizable lead or show any domination. Hard to see this effort doing much in Utah, but 3 days of rest should help a bit.
Yeah....it's easy to claim that.
How about this though....Utah is undermanned and out-talented, but are not chumps.
It's not like they are playing the Clippers or something.
Credit goes both ways.
The Lakers are going to beat the Jazz, but much like any win with them, it's not always going to be a complete blowout.

It's good that we won but we had some serious issues on the boards tonight as well as a lot of mistakes.
*19* offensive rebounds by the Jazz. They actually out rebounded us on the offensive glass even though we supposedly did well.
**20** turnovers. That turnover count is one you'd see in the PRESEASON. Man, that was bad.
The big plus was the blocked shots but damn, our MISTAKES are keeping us from completely blowing Utah away.

Lakers are killing me with their turnovers. There is no need to have 20 TOs against the Jazz. Its ridiculous. Kobe and Pau had 13 combined. This kind of game will cost us a win in Utah.
Need to take care of the ball!!! _________________ This game's in the refrigerator....the door's closed, the lights are out, the eggs are cooling, the butter's getting hard, and the Jell-O's jigglin'!

good points.. gotta remember there were a lot of no-calls.. Kobe's 7 TO's.. some of those were really questionable..

No one's taking anything away from the Jazz, but the Lakers played a very sloppy game with the turnovers. Some forced by good Jazz D, but many just poor passing, to make this game closer than it ever should've been. There are also brief lapses in the quarter where the Lakers abandon their size advantage inside (with the poor perimeter shooting, this is the reason they have the lead) and it makes life easier for a smaller team like the Jazz to push an 11 point deficit to 4.
Ultimately a win is a win and at the end of the day, that trumps any complaints about little facets of the game. My point is the Lakers have too many mismatches this series and their lead really shouldn't be dipping under 6 points in the 4th at a home game.

Yeah, there's always room to improve with the Lakers.
A little lack of focus, a last second dash from the Jazz and you get a game that's a little close for comfort.

They are way to small to play the lakes in a half court offense, Boozer does nothing but shoot jumpers against the long defenders and it neutralizes their points in the paint, btw that guy is costing himself millions.
jerry sloan is a good coach but both 4th quarters he yanked price he seemed to have his way, why? cause he plays fast and the lakers are a team that is a bit to old to play that way.
which looking at the conference finals, makes the suns a tough matchup because they constantly run. it's just so dumb to play half court basketball against the lakes you simply will not beat them when they can set their defense _________________ My sources tell me you have no sources.
