When was the last time a 8th seed was a 50gam winner! Dont take this team lightly. They are a good young team.

If I were a betting man, I'd put a ton of money on the Thunder...we've all been following the Lakers for long enough to know tonight is a L.

Typical up 2-0 let up coming.

I have a hunch the LA - OKC series is going to play out the way the LA - UT series played out last year.

Unless, of course, Fish decides to keep annointing himself the third option in the Laker offense...then LA could be in trouble.

The Lakers need to win this one tonight. They are overdue for a good shooting night, and good shooting will make a big difference. OKC played their best last game. They know the Lakers did not and are due to play better.

Last of all, I checked the ref assignment for the game, you won't get a more honest crew than this one headed by Joey Crawford. He likes to prove to crowds that his calls won't be influenced by them.

This is a must win.

This one has loss written all over it. The new superstar needs more exposure and a longer series will provide that.

I hope we win. If we lose, I hope it's not a blowout. Last thing we need is give OKC confidence.

I hate to say it, but I can easily see some Lakers thinking "We're up two games; we don't HAVE to win this one", subsequently laying off a little, and thus losing. It's happened too often before. One thing missing in the hearts of a few Lakers players is the idea that you HAVE to win every game.

Key will be cutting down the TO's.

Key is to hit open shots. As long as we don't, OKC doesn't bother defending the perimeter, collapse on the middle and makes it hard for our bigs to take advantage of their height advantage.

Of course, taking early shots rather than trying to feed the bigs is a continuing problem.

I don't believe for one second that any Laker is thinking of anything other than going for the win.

Keys:

Use their youthful energy and inexperience against them. Translation: pump fake, take it hard for the dunk.

Taking the open shots they give up, and MAKING THEM.

Continue as before.

The local books are giving the Lakers 3.5 points for the third game today. Opened at 2.5. I see either a Laker win or the Thunder winning by 10+.

i am hoping this one is a surprise.. why?

everyone outside of kb, pg, ab are playing like crap! i don't see why they would take a day off from sucking so maybe they'll be ready to prove themselves to earn some play time.

pau has been mr.consistancy i don't expect to see him disappear

bynum has gotta be hungry too in his first healthy playoff's his career needs a string of solid performances.

i expect artest to get into early foul trouble and be forced into a so-so game.

the only big change i forsee is that kobe becomes a facilitator again and doesn't look for his shot until later in the game.

They're also a team that may be in the 8th seed, but was in a tight battle with 2 others teams for a possible 6th seed.

A lot of people assumed this series was going to be easy because the Lakers are defending Champions and playing an 8th seed. The reality is the Lakers haven't been playing like a championship team by any stretch and the Thunder are a solid WC team with the one of the leagues top players.

People who expected a sweep are in for a big surprise, because that's not going to happen. The Lakers will be lucky to come back 3-1, but don't be surprised if it is 2-2 by the end of Saturday night.

An interesting fact about the Thunder.

Since they were 12-12 in mid December, they have lost only 2 of their 58 games by 10 or more. I have no idea from where some people have the idea that this would be a cakewalk or blowout after blowout.

I expected a blowout game 1 because of their giddiness and a hard fought battle from there. 4-1 or at worst 4-2 for the Lakers but with highly competitive games. In retrospect I was wrong and we had two close games, one of which was a nailbiter and are probably heading towards at best a split in OKC.

(antijinx! of course I hope our boys pull out the brooms:))

Pretty brilliant. The Lakers have covered (and won straight up) a whopping two times in eight games as a road underdog. Tell me, where do you plant your money tree?
