One thing Pau did not do was wilt when the game got physical. I expected Drew to have some kind of lull after a great first 1 (but he grabbed double digit boards). He was fiery out there! Now if Odom and Fisher can follow the passion Pau, Ron and Kobe are playing with, we will be just fine. _________________ The killer in me is the killer in you!

You guys act so upset that this was a competitive game, the Thunder were fighting for their playoff lives. They know if they go down 0-2 to the defending champs its all but over.
The Thunder came out, played desperate basketball, played physical, and still lost.
I know the Lakers didn't look amazing, but they won. A W is a W
we barely beat this 8th seed most inexperience young team at home, if Ron had an average offensive game we would have won by double digits.
our opponets in the next couple rounds won't be as easy to beat....
yes, defense > offense
but not when is AWFUL offense > great defense
that's why our winning margin is smaller this season, we are 6th in winning margin this season, becasue our offense dropped a lot more than our improved defense.
do the math, that mean what we are receving it's negative.
right...i'm a troll (sarcasm) last season when we are struggling against Rockets EVERYONE on LG was crying and saying we won't beat rockets or nuggets, i was one of the very few still had faith in our team. i also watched way more Lakers game than most yall have, i watched every game from summer league to preseason to regular season and playof....so right i'm such a big troll.
did i ever even mention Ariza in my post?! NO, i'm just pointing out Ron's weakness and yall brough up Ariza.
Believe it or not I supported adding Ron, but he proved me wrong. so i'm not a hater, just a truth teller. it's my not fault that i don't have my homer glass on all the time.
Thumbsup to Artest tonight for his competitive effort.
I don't expect a great offensive weapon like KD to be
completely shut down, so I marvel at the professionalism
that allows a defender to shrug off a killer basket made on
great defense, and just keep grinding at it the whole night.
Without Artest's work tonight, I believe KD easily hangs an efficient 40+pts on LA. _________________ Detective Winters: "I've never really studied the female genitalia."

about time!!! good job fish! i've been on his ass as much or more than anyone! that ole sheeeet needs to go!!!!! FOUL OUT IF ANYTHING! _________________ Do you believe it now, Trinity? - Morpheous
Fortunate game to have won. Not a surprise since we lost game 1 to the rockets and game 2 to the nuggets last year. LA is making it harder than it has to be.
Too many crappy 3point shot attempts by Artest (1-6)...1-8 last game. Gasol and Bynum should be establishing and dominating the low post. We still haven't seen that as we strayed from them a lot.

Staples Center was dead tonight but that's nothing new. Not a great home court advantage in my opinion.
Ticket prices are too high for true fans to pay imo. If i were there id have no voice left.
Ticket prices are high for Kings playoff games too, and they were loud all night on Monday so thats no excuse. The quality of the "fans" is the excuse. With Laker games, all you get are the hollywood elitest snobs buying up most of the tickets.

It helps if you watch the game and just not read the boxscore. _________________ Lakersground: Join in, pick a player and trash all other players to make yours look better.
Gasol was great tonight. I'm not worry about Pau until he faces someone who will physically bully him, like Varejao.
LOL! Gasol will peel and eat Varejao' face for ya. I will have a beer bet with you.
(Don't let me down, Gasol).
Worms like Varejao give Pau and Lamar so much trouble. Varejao may not be as talented as Pau, but he is all hustle and only someone like Noah can match his intensity. I can't imagine Pau to bring the intensity until the 3rd game in a series, but by that time, Pau might be exhausted. We need our own worm. Maybe Sasha can provide just as much harassment on the court. _________________ "Nobody knows!"

Jacko is a troll, but this thread isn't THAT far off.
Ron has pretty much been a liability on offense as of late, he literally does nothing well. Can't shoot, can't finish, and it just looks awkward whenever he tries to create a play for someone else.
He's on the path for a Horry-esque '03 playoffs as far as things go on the offensive side.
