i can't imagine how it feels for you guys when the game starts at noon...and on a sunday...

To me, that's a good playing field leveler for OKC. To quote Jack from 87 to the laughter of the media, "Historically, the Lakers aren't an afternoon ballclub..." (alluding to their nocturnal activities).

Keys to win this game -

1) Bynum/Gasol ruling the paint area

2) Artest defense on Durant. Double teaming in 4th quarter if needed (if the game is close)

3) Kobe leading this bunch

translation from a team stand point

1)activate the balls
2)play defense and rebound
3)everyone act like they care

I'm betting we get either Salvatore, Mauer, or Delaney. If any one or a combination of those those 3 is reffing, you know the fix is in.

The Thunder are in for a spanking similar to that of the Orlando Magic in last year's Game 1. I doubt the kids will handle the pressure in their first "real" game.

Damn, we can at least wait until the game is being played before criticizing the officiating.

The Thunder are going to bring it. No doubt about that. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I don't think it was wise for Phil to call out the refs in regards to KD. May end up seeing him take a record number of free throws. Between the refs and KD being motivated by Phil's unfortunate comments this series could get out of hand quickly. I watched a lot of Thunder games this season and they play fearlessly and fast.

I think they'll save Salvatore for the first game in OKC. That will be the toughest game to win.

If we get any one of those three refs, I hope it is an AWAY game and not a home game. WE cannot afford to have any HOME games with any of those chowdah heads.

I don't ask for much but if the Great Legends of the NBA can at least give us some Home Court Advantage for a change, we might actually be able to win some games.

And as for blaming the officials, I hope the NBA does more than say, "Sorry, that last game had bad officiating" and maybe pulls the bad refs off the court for the rest of the playoffs. Salvator needs to never ref again.

"It pains me to say this as a Los Angelino and Lakers fan, but I'm rooting for Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the NBA Playoffs."

Stopped reading right there.

Lakers 87
OKC 95

Durant 29 pts 13 rebounds 4 assists
Westbrook 26 pts 7 rebounds 12 assists

Lakers get embarrassed on national tv, get boo'ed by their home crowd, then go on to win 4 straight by an average of 13.

I say this due to a lack of chemistry from our potential starting lineup, and the attitude the thunder have coming into the game thinking they can upset the lakers and steal home-court.

GO LAKERS

I don't think it's going to be a high scoring game. You will see the Thunder's nerves in the first half but they will keep in the game unless the Lakers actually stick to the game plan and pound it inside and work the ball inside/out.
