I have never seen a team try to lose it on purpose as much as this game. With everyone giving each other high 5s for a plan well-executed, lol. |

The game was lost early in the 4th quarter when Farmar, Brown and Sasha were in the game and bricked shot after shot after shot.

That 3 year Kobe extension is looking like a really dumb decision right now.

Thanks to your boy Kobe not playing defense and choking at the freethrow line.
But I mean I'm sorry let's blame Gasol. |

Kobe and Fish purposefully fouled Webster on that play. How is this not clear? |

Yep, play the other team with old guys and get past R1. That way we buy some time hoping for a miracle that evertthing clicks and even if that doesn't happen we to save face by getting spanked in R2 instead of R1. Don't want to be like Dallas. Phil at his best there. |

Who still thinks this team has a chance to make it out of the first round..COME ON.. I LOVE the Lakers but what happened to the Lakers is the same thing that happened to Boston, from a championship team to mediocrity in a span of a year |

The ending of this game just about sums up the way we've been sputtering around for the past month or so - just unbelievable. Portland tried to give us the game, yet monumental choke job by Fisher and Kobe down the stretch.
We are seriously in trouble going into the playoffs. You can tell yourself things will be fine all you want, but something seriously has not been right with this group for at least three months now. Hard to see how it will change in a matter of weeks. |

Kobe and Fish were all laughs in the end. They were totally fooling around with the fans and were planning to lose the game from the beginning. |

They're going to be on the road if they make the finals no matter what now. The impact of that really can't be understated, but the probability they get knocked out before even making it out of the west is pretty high too it seems. A Portland first round match-up could go either way. I can't remember a team that ever won a championship closing out the season this bad.

They were nervously laughing to hide their real shortcomings:
1) no bench
2) Kobe a shell of himself
3) a loss against a team w/o their best player |
