Phil is to blame as well.

The moment they started screening Ron with Arroyo the Lakers should have switched Kobe onto Arroyo. Miami did the same play to us in LA and Phil eventually switched it up defensively. Why he didn't do it tonight I'll never know.

Easy charge to call. Only homers see that as a defensive foul.

Yeah because when the defender is moving, it is definitely a charge.

Yeah no kidding...Kobe flying one direction and oneal falls in a different direction. OBVIOUS CALL REFS GJ!!!!

/sarcasm

What a screw job. So this is what Dallas felt like in 06.

As bad as that was, it was a drop in the bucket compared to the job the ref's did on Dallas. That was THE worst case of handing a team a series I have ever seen. Worse even than the 2004 series with the Pistons.

+1.

That was totally rigged. Yet the media dare not call it out.

You must have been watching TNT.

KCAL replayed Kobe's shot in regulation -- it was a clear foul by Wade, hitting him on the forearm.

The offensive foul was showed in replay to be a block, because the defender's feet weren't planted and he slid over to Kobe.

Pau was knocked over by two players, or so it looked when it happened.

Why was Kobe is such of a hurry to score on that last play? They rebounded the ball and had less than 30 seconds left in the game. They should have just ate the clock.

Kobe's shot where Wade clearly whacked him on the arm? Kobe's offensive foul where Oneal slid over (whereas Wade jumps straight into Fish and gets a call)? Artest's missed FT's did hurt, but the guy played a very good game. Bynum should have caught that pass, but it wasn't a super easy pass either. Pau? Well stuff just seems to be in his head now.

I'm tired about having to worry about how the refs call a game. Yep, I think I'm done.

anyone notice that kobe stopped getting the ball when farmar came in...he appears he was determined to use the rare oppurtunity to play in a crucial game to highlight himself instead of getting the ball to kobe who was smoking hot

Why in the World did Jordan Farmar take that shot with 18 seconds left????

I am also pretty shore that he thinks he is better that Kobe because even if Kobe is on a roll he doesnt pass to him

QFT

Farmar thinks he's Isaiah Jordan.

But Farmar's tendencies are a known quantity by now, so the blame goes to Phil for subbing in Farmar instead of Shannon when Fish fouled out.

Yep, I noticed. If it's intentional on Jordan's part, I'm sure he will be put in his place in very short order. However, that isn't why we lost. Nor was it the bad calls by the refs (though it certainly didn't help). A ton of missed FT's and no defense was our undoing.

couldn't catch the game but we lost on the road by 3 points in overtime..

so yes, almost anything could have changed this game. One call from the ref, hitting ft's, kobe's D, Pau's rare poor stat game, one bad shot by farmar, LO eating one less or one more peice of candy etc etc..

kobe floating to help on wade leaving Q open sounds like a proper gameplan to me. who was then supposed to rotate onto kobe's man? did Q have the game of his career? i'd go with the same plan next time too in that case.

and assigning kobe to wade defensively during a game where pau is not making an impact offensively is a tough choice also.

not to preach but it hardly sounds like the end of the world.

Charles said yesterday that if Kobe scores 28pts or more that's a almost guaranteed win. Yeah, almost I only watched the 1.q, i saw we lead 105:103, what happened after that?

No, the Lakers are just one of those teams. They go away from Kobe often when he's hot. If not, Phil pulls him and cools him off. You don't want guys being unhappy because the one of the best offensive players in the history of the game scores too many points I guess...
