gotta love kobe, he could be 0-30 in a game and he'd still find a way to hit a game winner.
andrew bynum played like a freaking man today. beautiful game from him.
lamar redeemed himself somewhat in the second half.
pretty good game from pau today, but you could tell he was a little rattled in the 2nd half. too many fumbles. doesn't help when perkins/garnett are allowed to slap him on the arm every time the pass goes to him.
artest with some beautiful defense (and a lucky ass prayer in the last minute, lol) on pierce in the 2nd half. no easy shots for pierce there, far cry from radmonovic or walton trying to check him.

Great question by Lisa, Mr West, my name is Jerry. Jerry did you have anything to do with Pau coming to Los Angeles the fans in LA want to know? This is the closest I've heard him come to saying he did. With a wry smile he said, Well I was working there.....
He may have saved the Lakers franchise. One would wonder how long Kobe stays in LA if Kwame was still the center.
Somebody started a thread asking what happens if you switched Lebron for Kobe. We would be kicking the Celtics butt today. Can you imagine that type of pressure on Lebron? Lebron would bust through that defense, whereas Kobe can't a step on Ray Allen. Lebron took the Celtics to 7 games, the Cavs are going to whoop the Celtics this year.

I'll say again. Cavs board--------------->
You were the same dude talk ish about Kobe right before he hit the gw shot against the Bucks.
Lifetime BAN. Chicken littles that jump ship should be automatically removed from LG.
Kobe has the length advantage over those two players. Kobe also gave Rondo a lot of space because Kobe knew Rondo can't shoot for (bleep). Besides Rondo only got off on pick n rolls. If shannon was given more time to guard Rondo and know his tendencies then it wouldn't be much of a problem. The bigs also need to help in pick n roll situations.
Oh I agree that Shannon CAN guard Rondo. He just took the worst approach. He was on him as if Rondo was Ray Allen. Wrong approach. Luke, otoh, has no chance on Rondo. _________________ Alltime lineup: Magic | Kobe | MJ | Hakeem | KAJ

Yep, he took the wrong approach but I can't really blame him though since it was his first time guarding Rondo. Kobe most likely knows what all the players natural tendencies are. Shannon will eventually learn though once he gets more exposure to guarding quick pg's, cause right now he's just guarding everybody pretty much the same.

CBS 2 Sports Central: Steve Hartman jacks Jim Hill's patented "that is for sure" one-liner. Classic.
Also, the pre-tip confrontation between Artest and Pierce which ended up with Pierce looking at Ron with a "what the hell are you doing?" expression on his face. Classic.
GOOD GAME. I don't understand why this team makes these type of games harder than they have to be. We should of won this 10 plus. They ignored the bigs a lot during this game and took questionable jumpers-3 pointers.
Does the fine print in the handchecking section of the rule book state that handchecking is banned unless you're guarding Kobe?
Its a bleepen joke how Kobe has never gotten that call. That and getting hit on his wrist/forearm on his shots.
Its really the only way to guard Kobe. Handcheck him and ride his waist to contest the jumper and then position another defender in his area for when he drives.

Kobe is Kobe.
It's why Kobe isn't necessarily my fav Laker. He has such marvelous gifts and comes through but it just seems he makes the game much harder than it should be. Feed the post and build a huge lead and then when it's out of reach...shoot to your heart's content. He doesn't even care that the finger is a detriment to his outside shot and ball handling. He can be so great and frustrating in the same manner. _________________ Do you believe it now, Trinity? - Morpheous

My thoughts exactly! A win tomorrow and this salvages a pretty decent road trip.

If they win tomorrow, the should've ended this road trip 8-0.

Yep, I predicted 6-2 and anything less than that is a disappointment. They blew the Toronto game and need to make up for it tomorrow. _________________ Need proof NBA is rigged:

Really wish Kobe could've gotten 2 the line a little more 2nite, but we still got the W nonetheless.
Yep, but I think he'll be a little more aggressive next time they play the Celtics. People have mentioned that he was obviously slowed a bit by the ankle injury, and I guess I tend to overlook Kobe's injuries. I figure if he's out there nothing is wrong, but we'll see if he attacks more in LA. Also, it's not really in Kobe's nature, but it would be great if he decided to "sell" more fouls like Pierce does. He'd look like a b**** in the process, but I guess he's gotta do whatever works.
