Not the end of the world. We swept them last yr and they returned the favor. Just RS games. I hope we dont tie for the best record tho but besides that its meaningless. Let them celebrate.

We'll be fine in the playoffs. Pau and Drew will lose their skirts by then. Kobe's finger will hopefully heal by then.

Why is Pau getting all the blame? How bout Kobe going 12 for 31, which was only 3 less attempts than the others starts combined? Much like the last game, Kobe got drawn into a duel with Lebron and lost it.

Pau choked, plain and simple. Don't need for you to try and shed light on us.

Kobe had very poor shot selection down the stretch. Gasol choked in the final moments. Bynum was a non-factor. The rest of the team became bystanders because of the complete lack of ball movement.

We had this game and Pau singlehandedly turned this ball game around at the end. Kobe missed FTs too, no doubt. But, we were right there at the end.

No doubt. Despite everything, game was ours for the taking. I dont like to single out one guy, but this loss sits squarely on Pau's shoulders. Gets blocked on a soft lay up attempt, then absolutely bricks two FTs, and to top it all off gets man-handled by a punk like Varajeo down low.

Of course, not to say that any of that excuses Bynum's no-show performance (again). He can have all the great games he wants against the Dallases of the world - until he steps up in these type of scenarios, its all talk.

Missed free throws killed us. Doesn't change the fact that I hate Lebron, but the missed free throws through out the game beat us.

bynum looks like olowakandi in this game stiff as a board. gasol looked like tsikishvili - very very soft...odom and gasol have this tendency to lay the ball in the basket when they could easily dunk the bejesus out of the ball!

as for those comments about finesse style of playin, there's no finesse involved in those pansy weaka$$ layups as opposed to stuffin the ball down their throats...

kobe was and ALWAYS is the ONLY mother bleeper on this team that does not back down! he is the only person on this team, who doesnt get soft balls when we play against an elite team.

So Kobe didnt make every damn shot, but at least he had the damn BALLS to take them, to make a move, to SHOW UP FOR THE DAMN GAME!

Some of you are really smart. It was all on Pau. If it wasn't for Pau LA would have won the game. Tell yourself that all night until you finally believe it. What a joke some of you are after a loss.

We were swept by Orlando in the regular season last year and we won it all. I would have put DJ in when Drew went out with his 4th foul. Pau had a big mismatch until he is forced to play Shaq.

and we'll probably see our whining posts about this game in the cavs forum much like we do the rest of the whinging nba forums.

as for lbj he definitely improved his jump/set shot. i'd rather have him have those shots as opposed to drivin the ball where he really becomes unstoppable i.e and1s and no ones fast enuff in our team to keep up with him not even kobe who seemed conservative playin defense cos of that dang finger...

but i have to say lbj is actin like gilbert arenas...childish and clownish!

actually we are not blaming Pau for everything, but when u choked ur FTs in clutch time,u know u are going to be blamed for everythings, especially when we are lost now.
But still,We need to blame Pau for missing those FTs in clutch time,he got no excuse,he doesn;t have any broken finger,or injury,it is his duty to make them when u know ur team need them.

team just gonna hack-a-Pau from now on cuz they know he'll choke. lol.

but seriously the crap calls on all our bigs were completely bogus. i still have yet to see an enjoyable lakers vs cavs game where they just let them play fairly. it will never happen, its all just a marketing scheme every year.

One reason we have trouble beating the Cavs is because we don't have any consistent 3 point shooters. That allows Cleveland to clog the middle and with the size they have it really gets clogged. They move very well in their zone defense and body the Lakers up (who can't stand contact, with the exception of Kobe). Pau ducks and throws up little weak flip shots instead of keeping his cool and using his footwork. Odom can't make it to the basket unless he gets there in a straight line. If by any means someone stands in front of him he either gets a charge or passes the ball. If nobody is going to attack with authority, then all thats left is crappy contested jumps shots from peg finger Kobe. 30 of them. Thats why we lost.

It seems any game Kobe shoots 30 times is pretty much an automatic loss lately. But clearly everyone was bad tonight.

So now that Cleveland took the season series they just have to worry about tying us to nab homecourt.
