Lakers continue to prove that they have possibly the worst bench of all playoff teams. They need at least a couple of starters and by that I include Kobe. Playing Gasol or Bynum with them really doesn't matter since the bench can't get the ball inside nor do they provide enough spacing for them to operate with poor jump shooting. Thankfully the lakers have the trump card in Kobe.
Second unit really lacks a play maker in the back court.
Neither Drew or Odom really look to create for others. Sure both will pass to the open man but that is not the same.
I love Shannon but offensively he is a shooting forward in a 6'3 body.
Jordan loves to dribble and he can create some but no team has to send a extra defender to help on him.
Luke actually does try to set others up, limited by his athletic ability, he is still the best bench guy we have at spoon feeding his teammates on the second unit. Without him the ball becomes way to stagnant.

22-4.
Typical great performance from Kobe. Ron was studly, too. Ron and KB combining for 11 steals is straight bonkers. Gasol played good. Drew had a good game to break his slump. 16/7/3 is a strong performance from him in a more reserved game such as this. Jordan and Shannon combining for 2-15 from the field is bad but it clearly was just one of those nights. Back to back double digit rebound games from Lamar was nice to see.
Great defense out there tonight. Nice road trip. Get back home and take care of business on Tuesday and prepare for Christmas. _________________ "After watching Bryant and Cooper go at it for about 10 minutes West stood up, nodded at two team public-relations men he'd brought with him, and snapped, 'That's it, let's get out of here, I've seen enough. The Pistons are really crappy. The Lakers sleep-walked thru this except for a consistent-usual effort by Kobe, some good A by Andrew and an all-around game from Artest.
Good endings beat a bad start.. 4-1 is great on this road trip.. best of all, the defense showed. _________________ Starting Lakers Dynasty6.0! NOW!!
