Got home late. Haven’t seen the game. No idea how it went down. Your turn, LG, to let me know what happened. Post your thoughts and recaps here to close out the season.

I mean it was a really good game. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Outcome not as desired...

Thanks for another season of great coverage DB!

saw from the start of the second half

Little things like not getting critical 50/50 balls, limiting Nuggets’ second chance points, hitting free throws and hitting key shots

Nuggets always felt they can “turn the switch” and Lakers weren’t able to capitalize on their opportunities

Rui has to stepped up his game
DLo got better on defense and needs to continue getting better
When Prince, not Vanderbilt, is your best defender - there’s a problem
Vincent needs to have a greater impact

Close game

We win if AD didn't have these weird back issues, or simply a better coach who would have common sense to sit AD when he was hurting the most in the 3rd. If the series was extended, Ham may have kept his job, so this is the bright side. Cheer up... it's win/win as far as I'm concerned. This is absolutely the worst coach of all the bunch since PJ.

That 5 small lineup in the later part of the 3rd quarter killed us. As always.

Sad to see the loss. But, our guys played hard. Just came up short. Lots of little self-inflicted wounds...especially those missed free throws... that did us in. Also, the horrible way be defended those Jokic/Murray pnr's. I can only assume that the coach schemed for the Lakers to give Murray the middle...cause he kept getting there with ease. After that, it was just a matter of make-or-miss. Especially that last play, with the game winner. Jokic/Murray pnr...and, instead of switching, or trapping, AD goes into drop coverage, and Jamaal just smoothly sank a middie in his face for the win.

You would think a coach would see how we're been repeatedly burned by this play, and change up the defensive strategy, to throw the Nuggets off rhythm. Apparently not Ham. If something isn't working, it's not because the plan might be flawed. It's because you need to do it with more force, and energy...

I will dance a jig of joy when I here Ham is gone.

I think we've all been aged by this season. Disappointed by how it ended, but looking forward to a fresh start net season.

And, thank you DB, for your tireless work bringing us fans the analysis we enjoy! Have a great one, everyone!

We had a foul to give and no timeout. Very poetic end to a competitive game and series.

Or if Rob Pelinka had made any effort at all to get AD help or a backup like he had in the bubble season.

I agree with this. The free throws really cost us the game.

Ultimately, we competed very well against a team that quite simply has our number -- a team with size, efficiency borne from CONTINUITY, and the current best player in the world.

Sitting AD was not an option in a “Close-Out Game!!” Hayes was ineffective and CWood/Vanderbilt were available but not ready.

Who was available at the trade deadline that would make sense to trade for?
