If Kobe can hold Wade to 3-15 shooting why can't he do the same to a guy whose not as quick and who has a considerably worse jumper?
For the same reason that the driver of a Mazda Miata will give way to a Hummer that's headed on a collision course with him. The Miata driver doesn't sit there and say to himself "I survived a collision with another Miata last week, therefore I can survive the collision with this Hummer as well". Survival instinct will usually see the Miata drive try to get out of the way so he doesn't get squashed like a bug, as the Hummer is just simply too large for him to manage.... _________________ I'm On point, On task, On message, and Off drugs. Why do i not recall Luke doing a good job on defending LeBron last year?
Seriously Phil is just makin that up cuz I remember Walton being burned time after time by LBJ and I remember Kobe playing the best man defense on Lebron in past games. I want to see Kobe and him go head to head and see who can lead their team to the win. When Kobe is resting then Ariza should be on Lebron but NOT Lamar because last year he was on Bron and he go crossed over badly and dunked on.

That is the worst comparison I have ever heard. If anything Kobe is a Ferrari and Lebron is the Hummer.

When a Ferrari or a Miata, crashes into a Hummer - the results are usually the same. _________________ I'm On point, On task, On message, and Off drugs. For matchup purposes, I'd start the following lineup:
PG: Sasha vs Daniel Gibson
SG: Kobe vs Mo
SF: Odom vs Lebron
PF: Gasol vs Wallace
C: Bynum vs Iglauskas
2nd unit;
PG: Fisher vs Snow
SG: Ariza vs Pavlovich
SF: Radmanovich vs Szerbiak
PF: Powell vs Hickson
C: Gasol vs Varegao
Because of Cleveland lack of depth, they can take Odom off the second unit to guard Lebron, and still make headway with the second unit. No way Clevelands backups can match the energy of Ariza and Powell.
Not bad, but I'd switch things up a little bit.
First off, I'd have Brian Grant guard Eric Snow. Sure, they play different positions, but since both of their NBA careers are over, it should balance out.
I'd also put Farmar on Ilgauskas. Again, yes, there's a difference of position, but since both are going to be wearing suits, I think that Farmar has a chance to hold his own fashion wise against Big Z.
man, you're hilarious! _________________ It's time to walk the walk. - Kobe

Yet a Ferrari can do cirlces around a Hummer and never run into it. Kobe can guard Lebron and will not get over powered because first of all Lebron has ZERO post game and second of all Kobe is very strong for his size. Just watch their previous matchups and you will see that Kobe has played Lebron very well one on one.

I am really excited about going to today game GO LAKERS!!! I wanted to get to the game really and watch the pregame shoot around. What is a good time to get to the Stables Center to watch this?
The past 2 lakers losses have given me a flu(part of the reason why hehe) i couldn't sleep. I was feeling frustrated. Hopefully lakers win tonight. That'll make me feel alot better.

Wade may be faster than Lebron, but he is not as strong as Lebron. Lebron, on the other hand, though less quick than Wade, probably still has the quickness advantage over Kobe while also having a tremendous size advantage. This guy made Paul Pierce, someone who gives Kobe trouble with his size, look like a girl when he played him. All in all Lebron probably outweighs Kobe by at least 50 pounds.
If Kobe plays Lebron, he needs to stay up in Lebron's grill and not give him a lick of room to operate. You don't want James getting a full head of steam going at Kobe. Hopefully, if James is able to get a step on Kobe, Kobe will be able to get his hands on the ball or have good help defense behind him. Having Bynum play well is going to be huge.
