I know I haven't been the most optimistic guy, but this franchise is seriously screwed if the guy who's running things thinks Jason Kidd is a good coach.

“There’s another development that I’m hearing is gaining momentum, and that’s the possibility of Jason Kidd returning to the coaching ranks by succeeding Luke Walton with the Lakers. Now, I first heard Kidd’s name connected with the Lakers a while back. Right about the time the first round of, ‘Is Luke Walton on the hot seat?’ stories came out. Jeanie Buss, head of the Lakers, threw a bucket of water on that seat, cooled it off. And so I tucked away the talk of Kidd and the Lakers as something at the time, simply spitballing or connecting dots that weren’t necessarily part of the same mosaic. Now, I know that Kidd wants to coach again. And I know he expressed interest in the Knicks job before David Fizdale ultimately got it. … In the case of Jason and the Lakers, I figured it was a matter of Jason letting them know he was interested, and the Lakers saying, ‘Thanks, we’ll get back to you.’ Well, now sources are saying that the Lakers have actually gotten back to him and this has gone to the next level. And if the Lakers do make a move on Luke, which based on all of the rumblings could happen sooner rather than later, Kidd appears to be very much in the mix and possibly is even the favorite.”
Thanks for the info...not sure how to take this. Trying to figure out the Pros in this situation...

Here's the deal LG, if the Lakers FO is looking to replace Luke Walton (whom I actually like as the coach) and there not considering the only person that should be considered...
MARK JACKSON
Then this shouldn't even be a serious thought or conversation!
Love J-Kidd we should have gotten him as a player but we didn't so that time has come and gone and as good as his IQ is, he's not suited to be a coach here in LA, it would only be a stop-gap temporary situation...
When I look at the GSW team, all I can say is that Mark Jackson gift wrapped that team for Kerr and much of their initial success was due to the seeds that Mark planted!

Are you in his congregation?
Since it pretty much has to be an ex-player Lebron respects, how about Sam Cassell?

Mark Jackson is a zealot. Stay away from this guy. _________________ Let's Go Lakers!!!
does Jeannie just want to hire younger coaches to sex with or something
That at least would make sense. What has the front office seen in Jason Kidd's mediocre coaching career that would motivate signing him? Very alarming that the two guys we're reportedly interested in are guys no other team in the league is (rightly) interested in.
