Regardless of who wins, will you count this as a real championship?
Yes, a championship is a championship and everyone played under the same circumstances.

No, the circumstances were too strange for a championship this season to be seen as equivalent to other championships.

This championship proves that the Lakers are also the toughest mentally. All the teams had to deal with the same bubble issues.

The veterans on this team made the difference.

And we did it without HCA even though we would have had it the entire way.

This was one of the hardest fought championships ever. You know who will call this game an asterisk year? The ones who haven't played basketball. The ones who have, and the ones who played in it, know how hard they fought.
This was EXTRAORDINARY circumstances, and these guys played their balls off. The Heat played their balls off, and put as much into this as any other champion has. Saying this was an asterisk diminishes their legendary efforts.

This is legit, all the playoff teams were at full strength in the sense that no key players were out due to Covid. You can even argue that our path was harder had the season not get interrupted. Avery Bradley opted out, and we basically didn't have home court advantage which we earned.

It’s as real as it gets — tougher than the usual championship due to the conditions. Only the strongest TEAM can survive.
