I hope Drew gets a nice lengthy run tonight, he needs to get in game shape(would be nice if he started too). _________________ "It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. I beat people up."-The Greatest |

Wheeee. I went down to the box office and got out of all the lame fees. $28.13 for 1 seat in the nosebleeds. Oh well, it's my one Lakers game for the next 3 years most likely. |

Yup. Going against Kaman and Camby could be a nice early test for him.
I'd sure like to see Drew and Gasol together go against Camby/Kaman. _________________ Everything. Changes. |

Dammit, Lamar is just sleepwalking out there. And Bynum doesn't look like he has nearly the explosiveness that he had last year. At least Powell looks good and Ariza is being disruptive. |

I don't believe people realize how long he was out.
January through August the guy played no 5 on 5 basketball. Most of that time he couldn't even run or jump. He has barely played even a months worth of real basketball since his injury. He isn't close to being in the game condition that he was in prior to his injury.
Look at Oden. The guy was cleared way ahead of Bynum to start training again and most Portland fans admit that despite his play so far he still needs to improve his conditioning.
It is not realistic to expect to see the same springy guy out there this soon. |

Quote: | So the Lakers always travel around California during the exhibition season and play in Las Vegas, too. This season there’s a game in Fresno (Thursday night vs. the Clippers).
It’s not exactly going to be a fan-friendly Lakers caravan through the little city.
The Lakers are doing the unheard of and conducting their game-day shootaround practice at home in El Segundo – not flying into Fresno for the 7 p.m. game until after working out at home. So they’ll basically get into Fresno, go play the game and hop a charter flight right back home afterward.
See ya, Fresno! |
