First and foremost, I root only for the Lakers to win, all day every day. Second, I root for Foston to lose. Then, if the Lakers are out, I want the teams to lose that have the least chance of beating Foston.
I’ll never admit rooting for anyone else as to cause no confusion. I just ain’t suffering through the emotional pain of another team losing that ain’t the Lakers.
That being said I’m torn, I question if the Knicks can beat Foston without Randle but Indy could be too inexperienced to do so either. I wanted Foston to have to go through Miami with Butler/Rozier and also to have to go through Philly. Clev and Dal aren’t on the radar but hopefully, if necessary, either causes a Foston loss.
If the Wolves destroy the Nuggets and OKC destroy the Mavs that would be good confidence to root for a Foston loss. _________________ “When it looks as if it is a realistic possibility, I want to focus on winning a ship like it’s a goal that can’t be denied. I didn’t see that this off season.”

Knicks, my favorite team after the Lakers. A better question is who am I rooting against.
1. Denver. I despise Murray more than anyone in the NBA right now.
2. Boston. Obvious reasons.
3. Dallas. Because of the Cuban connection.
4. Timberwolves. Just beat Denver and go away.
5. Thunder/Cavs/Pacers. Too boring to care.
Wolves! I have absolutely NO idea why but the Wolves used to be my favorite team I literally have never been to Minnesota nor have any family relations. I think I liked the font of "Wolves" on the jerseys, the wolf-tooth jaggedness, my best friend reminded me of KG? So I guess I do know! The Land of 1000 Lakes led me to the Lakers...funny how these things work!
Our Lakers were from Minnesota so I am rooting for them.
Yup, I know now as an adult that the Lakers originated in Minny…the funny thing is though I had no idea of it as a kid. So I guess my love of them both was just magical, mystical, and meant to be. The basketball gods bestowed upon me the greatest miracle.
Was rooting for the Nuggets but that is looking a lot less promising. Thought this was going to be a close hard fought series. Going 0-2 at home is a deep hole.
Wolves are playing at a pretty high level that is hard not to like though.
Still a lot of games left to be played but a Wolves / Celtics series would be entertaining.

Why would you cheer for the team that beat us back to back years? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Live in Denver. They are an entertaining quality team to watch. Lakers are out. Why not the Nuggets?
As you can see from my comments I am fickle and can switch pretty quick to another team as the playoffs progress.
I am a Laker fan, but it is up to them to earn the wins and entertain. They didn’t.
While I enjoy watching basketball, no matter the teams involved, I only root for the Lakers.
...that said, it would admittedly bring a brief smile to my face to see the Nuggets lose.
Maybe many of us have different definitions of “rooting for a team”.
I root for my Lakers. I anxiously watch the games and ride the waves of wins or losses.
Other playoff teams and series I watch for the enjoyment of the sport. I am keeping up with most of the NBA and NHL series. I have my favorites and preferences as they play out. It can switch within a series or even a game as the story unfolds.
Not going to lie, I also had a smirk on my face as the Nuggets melted down. The Wolves defensive domination was a thing of beauty to watch. Impressive to see a team that runs so efficiently have no answers in response.
The only teams I actively “root” for are the Lakers, Avs and Broncos. The Lakers for almost 50 years now. The other two I have adopted since moving to Denver 15 years ago. I enjoy the playoffs long after each is out. When any are the last team standing, it is simply icing on the cake.
Enjoy the playoffs, no matter who you root for or for whatever reason you find for doing so. As we have seen there is a portion of our Laker family that turns it off when the Lakers are done. IMO they are missing out. To each his own!
All I care for is the Celtics losing, I'll root for any Western Conf team over them.
i don't think the Celtics can be the Knicks. just watch both Tatum and Brown shrink again under pressure, the dog of that team is actually Derrick White.
Rooting is a very strong word. Mildly happy that my least favorite teams didn't win is more apt.
Out of the realistic teams, I'd say MIN. DEN and BOS are the other 2, so it's an easy decision.
Ant is playing really well of course. I had just a little distaste for him watching him in FIBA. He really hogged the ball there, and I think it cost them some games. But, it's working now.
They have good role players, and KAT has been a good 2nd option.
ALL teams still left? DAL. Luka and Kyrie are 2 of my favorite stars in the league.

All that matters is that Boston loses. I don't really care for anything else. Out of the remaining teams, I like (strong word) MIN the best, so I'll be rooting (again, strong word) for them.
i'm surprised why so few rooting for OKC. OKC winning will also be rubbing salt on Clipper's wound LOL. i really like Minnesota too, but i just can't stand Gobert and Towns.
