Get the 3rd max and check all those vets who wants to join . We need 3 and D perimeter players. Also I’m hoping we can get a quality player from whatever exception we can create. We need to go ALL IN this time. |

Not a great year for Free Agent Guards outside of max players...evidenced by Kemba potentially getting a max contract.
If we can land Kyrie, we should.

If it's kawhi, ye.
If it's kyrie or kemba. I'd think about it.
If it's any other max player, I'd prefer depth _________________ Kobe |

Quantity does not equal quality. Even if load management keeps LBJ/AD/KL to 65 games each in the regular season, just beating the bums will get us to 50. I'd roll with LBJ/AD/KL as a lower seed if all are healthy for the playoffs. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns". |

3 Max Players with Kuzma and a bunch of Ring Hungry vets gives you a great chance to win a Championship. |

I'd love adding these three but no way in hell Milwaukee lets Brook, Malcolm, and Bledsoe leave |

Third star because that cost is predictable. It’s a max contract. Who knows how much depth is going to cost this season? A lot of teams have a LOT of cap space. How much of a premium is that going to add to the salaries of decent role players? We might be priced out. Instead of getting three or four guys for our money, we might only be able to get two before settling for the room exception and minimums, and one or two extra guys doesn’t really beat a max guy like Kyrie or Butler (Kawhi should be a no brainer for anyone, so leavin his name out) for impact, so I’d prefer the max guy, then room exception and minimums. |

If we have the space... pelinka messed up if he didn’t get a guarantee that we can wait on trade to ensure max money! Kawhi>Kyrie>kemba>jimmy _________________ "I don't want to be the next Michael Jordan, I only want to be Kobe Bryant." --Kobe Bryant |

We need the 3rd Max to pair AD for the long term. Our G-league players played better than expected last year. So we should be fine. Now we just need KL to commit! |

Depth.
Phil era: (Shaq+Kobe/ Kobe+Pau supported by non-All Star role players)
Cavs' 2016 title: (LBJ+Kyrie supported by non 1st tier team members)
GSW 2015 title: (Curry+Klay supported by unproven role players)
I'm concerned about chemistry and health issues over the long season. Which is why emphasis on having depth with members who can compliment the way AD and LBJ play within Vogel's coaching will be important to achieve consistency on both ends of the court and build confidence in everybody that we saw during the early 2000s title run. _________________ Pancho's Happy Bottom Riding Club |

Everyone's still hoping for Kawhi and maybe even Kyrie so 3rd max will win this poll easily.
IMO the better poll would be between 2nd tier 3rd max guys Vs Depth.
If Kawhi's coming, I don't think anybody says no. I'm only taking Kyrie if Patrick Bev is coming as well for the room exception. I'd also take Danny Green with Kyrie but it's highly unlikely that he'd sign for the room exception.
If we can get 3 good vets(2 guards 1 center) using either 32M or 27M from this pool:
Collison, Danny Green, P. Bev, D. Rose, Dedmon, Brook Lopez, Brogdon(unlikely), Satoransky
then I'll take those 3 over 1 max Butler or Kemba. But i'll take Butler if there's no guarantee that we can sign all 3 vets. |

Any combination of Collison, Austin Rivers, Seth Curry, and Beverley if we can't get Kawhi. |

Three stars is overkill, and has been for many years. The third player always becomes a whipping boy.
I like Beverly and Bullock. |

Im pretty sure NBA history has shown that Quality > Quantity. Does anybody have anything that supports this? I have noticed a lot of members on this board have been in favor of such things as "keep the young core", "roster depth" and below average three point shooting wing players. |
