They've given you Matthew as suspect 1, or Woody if you are into a slightly more devious line of thinking
I wasn't thinking either of the leads. I was looking for someone to be added. When none were in episode 2 I was puzzled.
How do you place Matt or Woody in the area of the crime?
If I had to make a choice of the two I'd go with Woody, he seems more devious.
Well, the major plot principal is that they caught someone back in 95-02 for the crime, but that they are being brought back in because it is happening again, and the sense is that the detectives like Rust.
They haven't really given us any major character or even reasonable minor one to be the suspect other than the two leads. So the question is whether this is a whodunit or merely a character study. If it is a whodunit, then you have to strongly suspect Woody's character, unless they are either going obvious with Matthew, or have strangely not given us anything at all on the suspect for 1/4 of the show. I personally suspect it is more a procedural/character study about the detectives, and who did it is less relevant. But I can see being totally wrong. _________________ “We must always take sides. That's actually the fun. It has no real feel about where they are going, other than the foreboding sense that we are about to drop down a rabbit hole at any moment. _________________ “We must always take sides. A whodunit leading to either one of them would end up being pretty cheap given the strength of what they've got going so far. _________________ http://chickhearn.ytmnd.com/

I don't see how either detective could be suspect in a serial killing. If there were only one murder, maybe, in a serial, multiple killing case, I can't see how. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Yep, I'm waiting for it.
matthew mcconaughey is just brilliant.
Great to see a guy I used to hate become such a good actor. Probably always was, but wasn't interest in stretching. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel
except for the nice (bleep) shots (+ more). second episode is lacking. pilot was just too good. hoping for a better 3rd ep _________________ "Now, if life is coffee, then the jobs, money & position in society are the cups. Agree. For some reason, the arrogance in his personality creeping into his parts or the parts themselves, I just didn't enjoy his stuff. Lately, he's had some really dark parts that he plays to perfection. Killer Joe is one that comes to mind. _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo"

His Rust Chole character has the same creepy personality as Joe Cooper in Killer Joe.
I liked him best as Jake Tyler Brigance in A Time To Kill. His closing argument was riveting. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

So far I like what I have seen, suspenseful with a lil bit of creepiness.
Now I gotta go google Marty's side chick. _________________ "Kobe Bryant is the best player in the world and is basically unstoppable when his game is on" - Barack Obama

I'm loving Rust's cerebral approach. He breaks things down to the real with such impunity it's surprisingly refreshing.
I'm waiting for the explosion between Hart and Cohle. I thought it was going to go down tonight.
When will a suspect of some sort surface? 5 episodes left. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I suspect we'll get to the "doer" in the next couple of weeks. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel

Favorite lines tonight:
Hart: You are incapable of admittingdoubt, which results in denial.
Cohle: I doubt that. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel

Did you guys miss the last shot?
I must have. Did it allude to a suspect? _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
