He's on route to pass LeBron as the top NBA scorer of all time.

If he ever evolves into a Pascal Siakam type of player for us, I'd be really happy and content.

wow, nice.
and the ft and 3p stats should translate decently to nba

Not always, I remember that center, I think his name was Thomas, we had drafted was shooting 3s at a high clip in the G league but couldn't make one in the NBA, and eventually got cut.

Thomas couldn't play 4 positions, he wasn't a good defender and he didn't have superior court vision. Bonga can do a lot more than just shoot or at least projects to be skilled in a number of areas.

I know Pascal doesn't shoot many 3s.
Does Pascal have vision?
Are they the same type of player?

With Bonga being so young and still a project I hope they keep him in the G league all season long and let him build some confidence.

Bring him up next year and see what we have.

Bonga didn't get coached by Krzyzewski. So he has the advantage

Siakam and Bonga are physically similar types.
But Bonga is much younger and much more versatile

Lakers drafted him eventuell with shooting as major weakness

He might Join Steph at 50-50-90 club... Go Bonga

His % line is better than Lebron's 52%, 40%, 75% !

Bonga against Steph + LeBron 1 vs. 2 I'm taking Bonga, tbh.

This one killed me really 🤣🤣🤣

Now he is. But I remember his first year people were laughing at their FO for drafting Siakam. I mean he looked discombobulated like Bonga was in summer league.

I just looked at the word "discombobulated".

Is there a chance that he can be like Pippen? Long arms, good size for a pg, good ball control, can shoot 3s. He's not that athletic though. Also how about his defense?

We've got to retire Pippen comparisons on this team. The only guy who's even remotely comparable to Pippen is LeBron.

How about a longer Sun Yue with a jumper? Or a thinner Derrick Caracter with more vision? A taller Mike Penberthy with better defensive instincts?

Isaac Bonga’s impressive growth should make the Lakers and their fans excited

Quote:
The Lakers took a gamble by taking then 18-year-old, Isaac Bonga, over more recognizable prospects in the 2018 NBA Draft. It’s still too early to know if they made the right call, but Bonga certainly looks great so far.

Isn’t it nuts just how different he’s playing so soon after perhaps the most cringeworthy showing in Summer League history?
I mean, it looked like he was the 1st ever recipient of the NBA’s Special Needs Child Initiative those few games, Lol 😆😂
