Very loosely followed the character as a kid, I was aware of him and his powers as well as his villains, but never bothered with the comics.
The movie was tragically awful
The show really redeemed the character for me and was very compelling. I love the humanizing aspects of the character and I like how he tires as he fights, as in that epic episode 2 fight. |

Good call. The actor was perfect in that role and is definitely an underrated characters in the series. |
REALLY enjoyed the dynamic Fisk and Wesley had. Enjoyed their scenes a whole hell of a lot more than any scenes with Foggy and Karen together. Yikes, those were tough to sit through..awkward and forced. |
After the third episode, I started fast-forwarding through all their scenes. The reporter too. Couldn't stand them. Made the show much more enjoyable. But honestly, if it wasn't for D'Nofrio, I would have bailed on the whole show. He elevated it so much! Made it worthwhile. |

D'Nofrio played the part very well but for me Kingpin is Michael Clarke Duncan _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Anything from that movie, I've wiped from my mental hard drive.
But I'm sure he was good. He's a great actor. I could see him in that part. |

Nerd Fun Fact:
Ironically, Batman Begins' origins borrows heavily on Frank Miller's early 1980's Daredevil run. From giving Batman's origin a martial arts background and even turning Daredevil's sensei Stick into R'as Al Ghul. Miller brought that darkness 2-3 years later and re-made the campy Batman dark like Daredevil by writing The Dark Knight. So Batman Begins is basically a combination of both Miller's work in Batman and his early work in Daredevil. You can even argue the current dark Batman we know now is basically Daredevil. |
And Ben Affleck will now play both. |
Wow. Just realized that! SMH.
Its like Chris Evans playing Human Torch and Captain America. Except worse...cause its Ben Affleck _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

Why all the Ben Affleck hating? Is it because of JLO? _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Don't wanna be that guy... But I'm watching only one episode a week to stretch out the series' lifespan and this thread has a SPOILER RIGHT IN THE TITLE

He's showed more acting ability in Fury than Assfleck has in his entire career.
Might have to get a trial of Netflix and marathon watch DD to catch up now. |

I liked him in Mob City too. I have a feeling he's gonna be an awesome Punisher but to me, Jane will always be the best. |

Somebody bring me up to speed. I remember a movie in which a character protected some people living in a rundown apartment from a landlord trying to evict them. At the end he left them with large sums of money.
I remember a scull being a part of his adopted costume when the film ended. Is this Punisher the same character? _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

In The Punisher with Thomas Jane he leaves the people a large amount of money but there's no land lord. The villains are the Saint family headed by John Travolta as Howard. |
