|
This is an important game with the Lakers on a 3 game losing streak. going into our 9 game road trip we could use a little momentum.
Game NOTES: The Lakers currently lead the season’s series with New York 1-0 after losing last season’s series with the Knicks 0-2 for the first time since the 2000-01 season. This will be the 176th meeting between the two teams in the Los Angeles era with the Lakers leading the all-time series 109-66. The Lakers are 6-4 against the Knicks in their last 10 overall games. The Lakers are 5-3 all-time against the Knicks at STAPLES Center and 7-3 in their last 10 home games overall against New York. In New York, the Lakers have gone 6-4 in their last 10 games at Madison Square Garden.

we need Kobe to take over early. Lamer Sodumb better not get used by bricks frontline. He owes his employers bigtime and this is where he needs to go to work _________________

Don't expect anything from Lamar.. take whatever he gives as a bonus. Less frustrations. |

Knicks are a weird team..
Talent wise, they can hang with any team.
Fortunately for us, they are so mentally weak, they only come to play like 15-20% of the time. |

That would be fun actually....
However I think Kobe will go 13 for 27 (2 of 5 from 3 point land, and 10 of 11 from the line),quite assertive on his way to 38,but still manage to mix in some TRI team game into the mix.
LO needs to give us at least 14,but get on the boards extra time.Get us 13+.....
I think Farmar needs to come in and give us 15 or so in 25+ minutes.
We are 13-0 I believe when we get 6 or more guys in double figures
We got to play tough defense, don't allow some of the Knicks to get rolling and feeling good about themselves. They are a team with some dangerous offensive weapons, you don't want them getting too confident.
Lakers: 110
Knicks: 96 |

Watching the Nets game, Jason Kidd looks really good. Farmar is quicker, end to end, but Kidd controls every apsect of the game. Controls the tempo on the offense, and he slows down the ball on the defensive end. He's awesome to watch, just finds the open man and passes the ball on a dime. The definition of a point guard.

I say we trade Luke for him... straight up! ... keep the change
j/k, it's just crazy how well he runs the offense. |

Nets need "runners" ... Farmar, like Kidd is a runner. Sean Williams and Richard Jefferson are runners. Even Josh Boone is a runner. Marcus Williams and Vince Carter aren't. Marcus seems like he slows down things, not keeping the defense on its toes. On fast breaks, it's always Jefferson and Williams down the court first.
I'm just admiring Kidd's defense; he's got such quick hands and feet. Kidd and Kobe would be lethal.

Kobe should break 100 points tonight. If theres any team he could do it against, its the Knicks. |

I say Lakers coming out firing in this one after the loss to the Cavs.
Lakers 106
Knicks 89
Odom again disappears in the second half but still contributes with 15 rebounds. Kobe will do alot of damage tonite.

I don't think Kobe will have a big scoring night tonight.
It's not time.
Regardless, Lakers should win big. I mean, it's the Knicks. |

But if they stumble out of the blocks again in the second half like they have been, they might struggle to win it easy.
