When the Lakers went down I picked the Sail Boat Boys to come out of the West. I haven't changed my mind.

PG13 woke up, Khawi is Khawi. I don't think enough credit is being given to Reggie Jackson, he's lighting it up and has been keeping them afloat.

They have the best team on paper. Look at their roster. LINK

Kick me off of LG for thinking they'll be in the finals. I pick Brooklyn to take home the Larry O'Brien.

The Curse of Donald Sterling is lurking.

WOW

Ridonk take

How many of his listeners actually know who Stockton and Malone are and have ever seen them play?

I think that is just plain "marketing" he is doing. The young guys get hyped - "the best Jazz player ever" and the old guys keep watching to find more of his idiot statements and complain...

Lol very true…

The Bucks continue to make the Nets look like the best defense in the NBA. Just comical at this point

It’s not crazy to think the Clippers make the finals or even win it all. Any team besides Denver and Atlanta could win it all at this point. I personally have Utah-BKN as the finals matchup though, but Utah-Philly might be my preferred/more entertaining matchup.
I do think Reggie has been getting the credit he deserves, at least here in this thread if not from the espn talking heads. He’s been the heart of the team this postseason and the 2nd most important player behind Kawhi. He’s even had better/more impactful games than Kawhi already.

It did but it really didn’t look like Giannis was doing much of anything I need to look at a replay. I don’t understand how Kyrie‘s legs got wrapped around Giannis.

Kyrie is fun to watch, but he gets injured more than Chris Paul. Just what you sign up for.

Could be nothing, we'll see.

Giannis didn't do anything. Kyrie just landed on him.

The Giannis Kyrie thing looks more dirty on the zoom in. Live it looked like Giannis was trying to box out before Kyrie landed. So I guess I can't say what he was thinking. Either way it's dangerous to put your foot right under someone's landing spot. Should have been a flagrant.

Maybe they should put in a rule that if more than one key rotation player is injured the game gets postponed until all are healthy again. This way, we can enjoy one set of playoffs for a whole decade and guys like Jordan still would have to play today

I think it was just careless. Nothing dirty. But yeah, obviously dangerous. Hope Kyrie can play rest of the series.

I get the sense that BRK is they type of team that's going to crack if they face any real adversity.

Durant all by himself. The injury bug is hitting the Nets at the wrong time.

Biggest adversity for BK is James Harden's health imo.

If James comes back healthy they will probably be the first Championship team to have a bottom 5 defensive system

Durant shutting up all the haters. 2021 Lebron would’ve spent half that quarter arguing with the refs while the bucks go up 20. Durant nearly dropped 20 in the quarter to keep the game winnable.

This is what I’m afraid of now...Clippers catching all the breaks.

Luka gets banged up.
PG doing his best to take out Donovan.
They will try and take out CP3 or Booker
I don’t trust a Bucks team or hobbled Nets beating Kawhi. We know how these narratives work, so I hope the Jazz are able to go 3-1 and finish off the Clippers or at worse not lose a home game in this series.

Exactly the first thing that popped into my mind after Kyrie went down. I still think a healthy Harden and KD alone can beat the Clippers, Suns ext.

Injuries are killing teams this year including the Lakers. Makes you appreciate the Lakers championship even more. These things are not easy to get.

All it takes is Reggie coming back down to earth to flip the momentum in this Jazz series again. Of course, the health of Mitchell and Conley is still a big wild card that could tilt the series in either direction. But I'm not about to write off the Jazz just because the Clippers finally decided to wake up for one game and did what they were supposed to do, i.e., defending home court and not going down 0-3 like punks.

Honestly, it's been silly the amount of respect they get out of nowhere whenever they finally win a game after going down in embarrassing fashion multiple times in two different series now.

Yup.

Think about now 2/3 playoff years, the Warriors had a redundancy with the Steph, Klay and KD firepower, still ended up losing 2/3 of them in the finals. This year the Nets lost 2/3 of their offensive firepower. Lakers lost AD, and didn't have a 3rd pillar anyway.

Last few years have been tough on teams, and can go back to CP3 a few years ago missing last 2 conference finals games up 3-2.

Not sure what the use is to comparing a healthy KD who has been playing the best ball of his career to a hobbled Lebron. Even so though I am sure Lebron would have loved to have the shooters the Nets have after losing AD. Even hobbled he can still pick a team apart with shooters around him. Which would have meant there weren't 5 guys at all times ready to be in the paint and ignoring our shooters.
