He’s a better play maker than Caruso and Tucker. With the way they are playing I rather see Kuz Morris Trez Marc all get bench mins 2-5 in the playoffs. |

if i was lebron and ad i will take longer time off. we practice if we are healed but we dont play real games. we let these guys grow into their role and level up as much as possible, make sure we are 100% fit. THEN we go all in |

You got to realize that you have to give Kuzma and KCP some time off too.
People keep overlooking KCP has not been given time off. That’s still the guy who chased Dame, Harden, Murray, and Herro primarily in every series and got his body bounced off pick after pick all while making the most 3s of any laker in a playoff run in history besides Kobe. A week off for Pope could be great for his body.
People keep overlooking that when AD went out Kuz went from 25 mins a night to 31. Since Bron went out in Atlanta he’s averaged 38 mins a night. He’s second in assists without Bron, now he’s first in points, first in threes made, first in rebounds, 1st in blocks, and second in steals and first in minutes played. He’s giving you every drop of gas his body has.
Those two were both double digit playoff scorers last year. People knock Kuz but his first playoffs he averaged double digits and got a ring. Kcp averaged double digits and defended the best guard while being a sniper. They have carried a workload and burden too. A week off at the right time could be huge for them when the AD and Bron return happens to recharge them for the playoffs. |

Kuz is going to put the franchise on his back and carry us until The King and The Brow return to Winterfell. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

Kuz is somewhat quietly having a really nice year. He’s at 36.3% from distance on a nice volume (5.6). He’s grabbing 6.8 boards per game and starting to do a little more playmaking.
Now he needs to get a bit more consistent, currently being prone to big nights / off nights. This time without our stars may prove to have been really good for him. |

I probably shouldn't get into this, but really, if he thought he was a star he wouldn't have accepted a 3 yr / $40 m deal. He isn't a star and he isn't paid like one. |

Yeah, it’s harder when it isn’t against a terrible team like the Kings. Rough game for Kuzma today. The low point was getting absolutely smothered by Zubac somehow when Zubac got switched out onto Kuzma on the perimeter. That should NEVER happen. |

Kuzma should really be working on more than just launching from three. He’s been terrible from three since Lebron got hurt, which is understandable, but when you’re shooting sub 29 percent over your last ten games, maybe look to show off the in between game? Just such a letdown from the expectations he raised his first couple of seasons to see him just not be able to attack off the dribble at all. |

Guy owes his whole career to one hot summer league largely due to Lonzo.
Kuz can look good as a scorer in certain ways offensively, but isn't dependable in any single essential skill that a winning team needs. Add in his defensive and mental shortcomings and he really shouldn't be on a championship team. He should be scoring 18-20/game for some lottery team somewhere. |

Everyone knows Kuz would be starting for any other team in the league, and he would be a perennial all-star on his way to the HoF had he not been held back by overhyped players like LeBron and AD. |

Maybe his playing through injury is effecting his ability to drive, get lift or move his feet on defense. He is struggling. Perhaps for good reason.
This is a negative side effect of the James/Davis injuries.
The domino effect of other players getting increased mins and no rest days for the various bumps and bruises that are starting to pile up. Several players are playing through them because Lakers have no options as they struggle to keep their heads above water. |

I like Kuzma's hustle but he really needs to get in the lab with his footwork. Phil Handy needs to lock him in the gym to tighten that up. He also needs to SLOW down, THT is 20 and plays with more poise. |

Good game. 24 points with four 3's. Needed his offense. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Nice bounce back game. I was tearing my hair out that first quarter, but Kuz started knocking down some shots and it felt oh so good. Hopefully the calf is okay. |

I love Kuz.
He's just a guy.
NBA talent, but not special and not a specialist in anything.
You could swap him for any number of PF/SF and not really affect the team.
I'm too lazy to do the research, but I suspect we'd be a better team (when healthy) if Kieff was in there instead of Kuz. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns". |

He’s very much not forcing the issue, letting the game come to him, even felt at times the pendulum swings too far and I want him to be more aggressive but this is team ball he’s playing, kudos |

This is why he’ll excel on a lottery team with no expectations. Tonight was prime example |
