I ask this question while I watch the Boston/Milwaukee game because Tatum was clearly impacted by his time spent with Kobe. He has Kobe’s mid-range jumper down to a tee. The form is identical from the release to the kick after.

Are there any players where you see Kobe’s influence?

Man, it makes me so mad that we almost had both of these guys.

The short answer for me is the local guys who witnessed KB growing up. N Young, DeMar, Kawhi, PG, etc...the foot work, mid-range, fadeaway is very Kobe-esque.

Both Book and Tatum are obvious guys who patterned their games from Kob.

Booker is who reminds me of Kobe most. Dude put up 70 trying for 81.

Our guy AD is also very Kobe-influenced. He got his fadeaway from KB who got it from MJ.

Dame is only one with the inner mamba out of all them. He's a killer like Kobe. Unlike any aforementioned sans MJ.

Kobe influenced Nick Young?

I’m surprised nobody mentioned Kyrie.

Defensively Kyrie might be the worst but his offensive package and clutch factor is definitely Kobe-esque.

I get it though BK has become enemy number 1 to everyone but I’ll call a spade a spade

Tatum, Kawhi, Derozan, Marshon Brooks, Randle(not in game style, but in everything else to his approach to the game). Buddy Hield for sure. Markelle Fultz, but unfortunately he's never gotten to really show it, but he's an avid Kobe fan. Kyrie Irving for sure as Kobe was his mentor and he very openly preferred Kobe's mentorship to LeBron's.

Kobe also offered to work with Zach LaVine and Andrew Wiggins to come stay at his house over the Summer and work on their games with him. But the T'Wolves denied it from happening.
