Lakers actually shot around their season average 11-31.
A game I figured the team would lose without AD, but then with no Gasol and no Kuz this looked like a sure L.
With all that team was still in it for most of the game. What really got me were some strange lineups by Vog. Its wierd cuz Duds was a +9...but problem was, I believe he did that in the first half, and added nothing to that in the second as the Lakers trailed. They needed to make a push and just never could. Constant get close, but not get over the hump in second half.
For this game, I really think Vog just didnt do a good job getting the right mix out there. Team also hurt themselves with some "3 stooges offense" moments (e.g. the last minute of the game just as an example).
Suns scoring was really balanced which didnt help. Their entire starting lineup shot over 50% - CP3 was only guy who didnt shoot well.
The thing puzzles me is why Vogel starts Trezz and played him only 18 minutes....
Vogel have no clue on how to use Trez or he simply just dont like him....
I understand starting him since Gasol/Kuz/AD is out... No way he starts Jones over him. But with his offensive skills no excuse the guy was only able to get 4 shots off... While you have guys who are bricking all over the court getting shots.
I actually completely disagree with your take. He is a guy who comes off the bench and provides a punch around the basket. Team did just fine before with defensive bigs starting. Having Trez start v Ayton/ Booker just meant he'd have guys shooting over him or by him.
IF we started Jones and still lost... You guys be blaming Vogel for starting Jones... Trez has earned the next man up as a starter with AD/Gasol/Kuz all out. He is the back up Center. Jones was just signed and hurt coming into tonights game. No way he starts.
Harrell aint a center, same as how the flippers play him last season and look at how that ended.

I kinda agree with this too. I don’t think Harrell helps himself. There was a play last game where he had deep post position and THT ignored him to drive and scored a layup. Trez was clearly annoyed with him and Vogel was watching the entire interaction closely. Shortly after he was pulled.
Vogel is as defensive specialist coach and Harrell is a non-defender. Not a great fit. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

That is a completely inaccurate and unfair accusation. No, "you guys" includes me and I would have thought that was smart. Just because I disagree with your take doesnt mean you need to start making odd accusations.

I agree with this, there is lack of communication and understanding between both.

Definitely agree but Harrell can be a (bleep) teammate when he feels like he deserves the ball. I’m sure other people notice this. I think Harrell is convinced that he should always get the ball after Bron, AD, and DS. Well... that’s not the case.
Btw Jones was doing great, what is the justification for pulling him? He literally didn’t make a single mistake out there and our D looked great with him in the middle. Vogel benching him and Trezz is head scratching while we watch Saric pound us inside?
I can take a loss but it’s frustrating when your damn coach is the one costing you games.

It is what it is... Harrell starting is not the reason we lost tonight.
Utilizing Harrell incorrectly is most definitely a reason. There is no "the" reason as there were several for the loss. But, assuming Jones could play more (he did play), I disagree with starting Harrell over him, and believe utilizing Duds as much as Vog did was ridiculous. Just slide Jones as the starter. Have Trez do his thing off the bench. Seemed straight forward to me. Have no clue how it would have worked out but seemed like the reasonable thing to do instead of Trezz v Ayton / Booker, Duds v Saric / Ayton / whomever, and a sprinkling of Jones.

No, you are being told that. I dont get your position at all. He's done nothing but play well in the minutes he has played. So your answer is Duds? No. Oh yes, Trez, who was eaten up in the minutes he played v Ayton and Booker.
And the questionable thing makes zero sense. He was able to play and looked fine when he did. The only caveat to this is if, and only if, they were literally like "yea, he is on a minutes limitation".

Maybe the back was acting up or something, idk
That is the only reason I would be like "ok...ya gotta look elsewhere". If they say that during the news conference, then I will agree with Miggs
Vogel probably wanted faster rotations to defend the 3, but he seems didn’t understand that players were helping on saric, and it made them scramble. You put in Trezz who saric can’t back down, it would be fine, and without Trezz, there was simply no offense rebounds

Can't believe this is even an issue... Starting Center tonight came down to Trezz and Jones... Trezz who's been on the team since the start and who's been backing up Gasol all season long... Or Jones, a guy they just signed on a 10 day contract. It's simple Trezz was the next man up. That's been the rotation all season long.

Oh I completely agree that I am surprised this is even an issue, we just stand at different ends on that.

I suppose if the Lakers wont use Trez correctly, and Klutch allows it, just deal the poor guy to a team who will use him as he should. I just cant figure out what Vog is doing with the guy at times. Matchups he likely may get abused on - hey lets use him! Matchups he looks like he could totally crush...benched.

We have way bigger issue than that... You cant have guys like KCP/Matthews eat up most of the SG minutes and only produce 4pts in 56mins. I don't get Vogel over using those guys when we are suppose to be stack in the position, and continue to under use Harrell specially on a short handed night like tonight.
Vogel is the reason we lost tonight.

Exactly, he was running Trezz against DJ in the nets game. The lineup at the end had zero offense outside of lebron, and Trezz can score
Looking ahead to tonight @Sac, Schroder/Harrell and Kuzma (if healthy) need to lead the team to a W.
This is a Sacramento team that lost 9 in a row, coach about to get fired and they have multiple players out themselves in Halliburton, Whiteside and potentially Hield who is questionable.
Let’s not get beat by Bagley and Bielijca. They don’t have Laker killer Bogdanovic anymore either.
Schroder and Harrell need to win this one for LBJ. There is no one on that roster with whiteside out that Harrell can’t handle tbh. It’s time for them to win a game without LBJ.

Agreed. It's time for the other guys to prove they can carry the load.
The Lakers have lost by double digits 4 out of the last six games; while going 3-5 in the eight games A.D. has been out.
If nothing else, the law of averages is on our side.
