It was the first one, where treasury had power to hand out corporate “help” with little to no oversight.

How different are the minds that rely on science, data, and facts, from those who largely don't

Notice: nothing about Covid. The number of deaths from Covid has already exceeded the number of deaths of "Americans," and will approach, if not exceed, the number of deaths of Americans and the enemies of Americans, in America's most deadly war, the Civil War.

Dimbart's audience is riddled with quacks, goofs, nimwits, racists, and QAnus nuts.

Yeah, any references on the specifics? I looked and couldn't find anything in the short time I tried (hence the crowdsource).

Trump administration won’t say who got $511 billion in taxpayer-backed coronavirus loans

Various recipients of "small business" loans have leaked out over time. People like Tom Brady and assorted rich cronies both in and out of the administration.

Searchable database here: https://projects.propublica.org/coronavirus/bailouts/

Supreme Court today is hearing arguments on some of the new voter suppression attempts going on in many states:

Quote:
Ari Berman @AriBerman

Stunning exchange:

Justice Kagan: A state with 2 weeks of early voting gets rid of Sunday voting. Black voters vote on Sundays 10x as often as white voters. Is that lawful?

GOP lawyer Michael Carvin: Yes, that's lawful

note: Georgia House just passed bill cutting Sunday voting

Quote:
Tyler Bishop @TBishUp

This literally just happened at the Supreme Court

Justice Barrett: What is the interest of the GOP in keeping (laws that suppress minority voters) on the books?

Republican Lawyer: It puts us at a competitive advantage relative to Democrats. Politics is a zero-sum game.

Based on the photo of Cuomo cradling the face of his latest accuser while she obviously is cringing hard, he needs to go. If not to prison, at least way away from any public position.

If I’m Biden, I make Tanden a Senior White House Advisor, and I task her with being my liaison to the OMB. And I tell whomever the nominee is that Tanden speaks for you.

It was right after I saw that picture and read the NYT article that I posted about him being a serial abuser that needed to go.

Apparently he's a well-known bully and all around a-hole in addition to the sexual harassment. And his constituents re-elected him anyway. NY journos don't think it's in his nature to resign.

In other news, The Rachel Maddow Show was the most watched show in all of cable (not just cable news) for both January and February.

He should step aside regardless. As I said earlier, if the Dems want to retain any high road, they need to do better than the GOP in how they handle controversy, even on the individual level. If Al Franken can do it in his case, Cuomo sure as hell should here.

Always the best people

Quote:
The Department of Defense inspector general has issued a scathing review of Rep. Ronny Jackson during his time serving as the top White House physician, concluding that he made "sexual and denigrating" comments about a female subordinate, violated the policy for drinking alcohol while on a presidential trip and took prescription-strength sleeping medication that prompted concerns from his colleagues about his ability to provide proper care.

Quote:
The report also notes that the investigation into Jackson "was limited in scope and unproductive" as White House counsel under Trump insisted on being present at all interviews of current White House Medical Unit employees, which had a "potential chilling effect" on the probe. Still, the conclusions about Jackson's conduct are striking. Allegations about his explosive temper and creating a hostile work environment are consistent throughout his time in both the Obama and Trump administrations as an "overwhelming majority of witnesses

The guy that said Trump was the healthiest ever. He currently represents Texas in the House of Representatives. Note that he was WH doc during Obama's presidency also and was a bully then apparently also.

It's going to be close, but I think the Trump hotels will come out on top

Trump Hotel Rates Are Over $1,100 on March 4—the Date in a Wild QAnon Theory

You would think that people who can afford a $1100 a night hotel room would have an ounce of brain

It's not always about the amount of brain power. Sometimes it's about sacrificing that because of one's lack of ethics and integrity.
