If you find such suggestions sexy, that's a weird ass kink. But more power to ya.

Speaking of cars (and avoiding the pain of the game), car dealerships should be liquidated. Consumers should be allowed to purchase directly from manufacturers.

Janet Yellen gets paid oodles in speaker's fees not because of her expertise, but because of her name (it's both, of course, but hyperbole). There's a legitimate leftist critique to be made about elites shuffling money around to hold useless networking events with big name speakers as headliners, but the idea that Yellen is beholden to Goldman Sachs because they paid her a few hundred grand to highlight a free dinner and open bar for partners along with their recruiting pitch to new Harvard graduates is childishly ludicrous.

Well, they said the same when Hillary Clinton was paid to give them a speech on being more inclusive for women...

The only thing worse than movie critics posting about politics on social media is sports dudes posting their movie opinions on social media. We get it, you're really into "advancing the plot."

Which is slightly better than movie critics going off on convoluted twee analyses of films that even make the director say WTF?

Sometimes, an Authoritarian regime is what's needed. We are leading this pandemic, not in a good way, because our citizens are little spoiled brats. "I don't have to wear a mask.. I know my rights! This is America!" Then you got Donkeys and Elephants negotiating at the Congress Zoo before any decision can be made. Wasting valuable time. Democracy is inefficient during a disaster.

My second most controversial take would be MDA is underrated as a coach. LOL!

I’m trying to find the one I read somewhere about a Wes Anderson movie. Thing is I forget which one and who the reviewer was I just remember it being so over the top it made me laugh.

Well, Wes Anderson can bring out the twee-est in critics. Every year there are movies - often coming out of Sundance - that elicit the Juno response from a significant swath of critical writers to the nation's cultural detriment. It's minor in comparison to the Oscars, though.

South Korea, New Zealand, etc. are liberal democracies. I don't know that our politics maps neatly onto the pandemic response worldwide.

So with Joss Whedon being again outed as an emotionally abusive pompous (bleep) - not uncommon among writer/ directors throughout Hollywood history, alas - there are folks online who are super into "Buffy," "Firefly," The Avengers, etc. who are trying to come to terms with their fandom and the monstrous tyrant behind the camera who helped create them.

Well, as a lifelong admirer of the movies directed by talented filmmaker and convicted child rapist Roman Polanski, let me advise that torrenting the works of horrible artists is a mild balm for the spirit.
