Yikes. Man, it seems like Tom's teams in big games almost ALWAYS keep him out of harms way and his team's defense in those games is almost ALWAYS stout. It doesn't matter the numbers coming into the game. After THIS much success and now with a different team, coach and system, you just gotta hand it to Tom that he might have something to do with it. Call it leadership, confidence, etc but having Brady on your team must be like having Captain America leading the charge against the bad guys.
TB12 coming to Tampa Bay got them players who otherwise probably wouldn't have considered playing for them. In that vein, he is like Lebron, his peers knows what he brings to the table and join up. I mean Gronk unretired, his buddy AB came along for the ride and Fournette who just happened to play for a terrible team down the road decided to up his chances of winning a ring.
props to Brady.. imagine if he did what everybody told him to do... retire or stay with the Pats..
Brady bet on himself and won. Big time.
He bet on a better team. The Pats are trash now and the AFC east is no longer a cakewalk with Buffalo and Miami on the upswing.
Brady leaving is what happened to the Pats.
Bucs were nowhere before Brady came to town.
Bucs D went from bottom 5 to top 10. That was their biggest turnaround this season.
ok. Brady was a non-factor. cheers to that. 31 pts versus the Chiefs though. LOL
Tampa Bay's offense ranked 3rd in 2019, then 3rd in 2020. Tampa Bay's defense ranked 29th in 2019, then 8th in 2020. Which side of the ball saw the bigger turnaround?

so your point is Bucs wouldve won without Brady? lol _________________ "Now, if life is coffee, then the jobs, money & position in society are the cups. what the FUDGE was that halftime show? These get worse every year.
I didn't expect much since they had to adhere to strict covid protocols. That dance sequence where the camera guy was just walking around in some hall with a bunch of dudes bandaged up was just wierd.

What?
I'm pointing out that Buc's biggest improvements this year were made on the defensive side. That's a fairly objective statement given the obvious and substantial uptick in defensive production compared to last season.

Maybe having TB behind center instead of Winston throwing 752 INTs might have something to do with the defensive improvement. Dunno.

Im actually curious why you hate Brady so much because while what you are saying is true, its obvious you hate Tom Brady.

oh okay... they improved in all fronts, but the biggest x factor is the guy who brought leadership to the team.
the Bucs defense didn't get AB to walk the straight and narrow all year, or got Gronk to unretire. you need the guy to lead, and in the biggest of stages, deliver the goods. _________________ "Now, if life is coffee, then the jobs, money & position in society are the cups. Nah I don't hate him. I'm just perplexed by his good fortune. One of life's mysteries I suppose.

There are legends that have that kind of effect that transcend circumstances.. Jordan, Ruth, Montana, Magic, Kobe, Lebron and yes Brady.

But all the greats had luck in terms of what team for example they were on. Shaq wouldnt have won 3 with LA if he was the lone superstar on the Lakers as 96-99 showed especially since Jones as the "co-star" was such a playoff joke. Kobe would have scored a ton and wouldnt have sniffed a title for years if he wasnt paired with Shaq from 2000-2002. Jordan would have continued to go ringless if he was on a helpless organization who couldnt build around him but Krause built a great team around him and that 2nd threepeat team was the greatest NBA team I had seen because they had 4 of the top defenders for each position and Longley was a huge body at least to the point they made the 60 win Orlando Magic that won 60 even though Shaq missed a quarter of the season into looking like a JV team that couldnt even dribble to halfcourt.

Theres guys in the Pro Football Hall of Fame that are younger than TB12.....and players aren't eligible until 5 years after they retired....amazing the longevity of his career.

Tampa Bay had a strong front seven last season as well, and were dominant against the run last season too. When they were able to bring back JPP and Suh, the dominant D-line returned. And although the secondary had a terrible swoon in the middle of the season this year, they were pretty good at the start of the year and clearly pulled it together down the stretch and in the playoffs.
As for Brady, I mean, it's just idiotic to argue against his greatness, at this point. I don't even like the guy, but come on. He's not quite as good as he was a few years ago, but he's still plenty good enough. Clearly. Winston lost a bunch of games for them last year with his turnovers alone. Brady avoids that, for the most part, and his leadership makes a huge difference. He had a clean pocket tonight, but his arm is still there. That second touchdown to Gronk was an absolute rope.
You also have to give Brady plaudits for being willing to leave the only team he had ever known, and to leave the GOAT coach. And for seeing the writing on the wall. And for leaving to go to the right team. It wasn't like it was an obvious call. The Bucs were 7-9 last season, after all. But he saw a potentially dominant defensive line and front seven, and, perhaps most importantly, he saw an offensive line that could protect him. Of course we know about Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, but the fact that this was a team solid in the trenches was big for him, I'm sure.
To quote the Knight in Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade, he chose wisely.

Would have been f'en dope if we were somehow able to get him last off season. _________________ KOBE
Brady was definitely the MVP. Not only did he play a hell of a game but his âcode of excellenceâ that keeps the team from giving away yards/first downs with penalties is one of the biggest differences between the 2 teams tonight.
Also have got to give it up the Bowles and the defense. Sure they have a big advantage with the KC oline missing players but they still had to face Mahomes, Hill, Kelce, etc. and did maybe the best job anyone has done against this group (first time without an offensive td since 2017 )
Bradyâs career resume is GOAT and he has plenty of records that wonât be brokenâ plus some fun ones like oldest qb to win a SB and only QB to win a SB at home. The only thing you can argue is if you think another QB had a higher peak, but his career accomplishments can be broken up into 3 HOF careers. Insane.
As a Lakers, Dodgers, and Buccaneers fan I canât believe the 4 month stretch I just witnessed. When we got AD, then Mookie, then TB I joked about the triple crown for my fandomâ Iâm amazed it actually happened. Happy for the bright spots in an otherwise horrible 12 month span.
Warren Sapp and Derrick Brooks were exciting players when I was young and first started watching. Since LA didnât have a team I picked them and was lucky enough to see them build to a superbowl within a few years. Itâs crazy realizing Iâve been following the team â with varying levels of interest â for 20+ years. I remember when I believed Josh Freeman could really take us places. Then Jamies.

How would you rank the acquisitions of LeBron, Mookie, and Brady? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Ah yes. I put that 2002 team on the same tier defensively as the 1985 Bears, 2000 Ravens and 2013 Seahawks. _________________ KOBE

Thatâs hard to answer. Mookie i want to say number one since we have him for another decade which includes a lot of prime/MVP years. Lebron and Brady obviously donât have many years left. I think they all have equally large impacts just in different timeframes. Tom in the short term since he immediately changed the culture and won, with opportunity to win 1-2 more times. Lebron in the long term since his impact on restoring the franchises reputation could be something that sticks with the Lakers long after heâs gone. Mookie is somewhere in the middle since I donât think heâll have that long term impact that Lebron does but his time with the team is gonna be a lot longer than Tomâs.
Gun to my head Id probably say Mookie, Lebron, Tom in that order. But Iâm sure Iâd change my mind if I was asked again. Itâs just hard to say a 13 year contract for an MVP isnât the best acquisition.
